Sex Grenade, aka Mirage (Lemon G x Dr Hoffman) - Nerds Genetics

From Nerds Genetics.. Not sure why it has two names, but apparently it does. I've been growing it from clone for the past year or so, and it's really nice! The lemon flavor is off the charts. Lemon drips off your tongue long after exhale. Grows easy, and frosty. Around 65 days flowering time. Nice big nugs.

Lemon G x Dr. Hoffman - this pheno is structuring up like her lemon g momma, but is determined to be her own woman. This one smells more like a skunk sitting on a beach chair and taking in the rays while drinking electric lemonade and watching the clouds roll over the crude oil processing plant next to the beach - it's an odd combination of hot skunk, mild hints of lemon and fuel refinery all blending together into one unique and weirdly pleasing olfactory experience.

I've got a couple of these going on currently in veg under 600w HPS.

Here's a pic from 10 days ago, when they were moved from T5's to HPS and transplanted from one-gallon pots to 5-gallon airpots. Grown in Ocean Forest soil.

..and here they are after 10 days growth under the HPS:

Why does yours taste like lemons and there's taste like weed? Clone? Another breeder who doesn't think his soil recipe is half the package? Or just throwing descriptions around?

You should get your money back based on the refinery/skunk description not living up.

You should get your money back based on the refinery/skunk description not living up.

I got mine as a clone (https://darkheartnursery.com/strains/mirage/) from a local dispensary, and the flavor was advertised as "Sweet lemonade crashes into a strong lemon pledge". This cut definitely lives up to the description. I've run it a few times now, and love it. No reason I would want my money back lol.

I assume from seed there are different phenos. I've heard of others having a lime pheno. This lemon pheno is awesome.

Description For Mirage
This gorgeous cultivar is a favorite among the heaviest smokers in the crowd. From the very first inhale the back of your eyelids will begin to shutter as her effects take hold. Staying clear of couch-lock and heart racing paranoia, it seems to be possible to smoke this one forever without reaching a limit to her heights! Each hit is more powerful than a 3 punch combo from a young Chuck Norris.

Thanks man. This is the best run of it I've done so far, although I would have liked to veg for another week, but had some timing issues to consider. Think I'm gonna switch over to 400w cmh from the 600hps in a week to finish it up. Here's a nice nug shot here, smells like lemons..

Yeah, I can't run both together. I was thinking the same thing about the reds too, but some people swear about MH last couple weeks of flowering increases resin. Also been hearing about people raising the lights or dimming them last few weeks of flowering. I've never tried any of that, but happen to have this 400w magnetic ballast and 400w cmh lamp around, so was thinking about maybe giving it a shot this time. IDK, maybe just stick with the tried and true 600w hps all the way through.

I'm thinking that this idea of raising lights or dimming for the final weeks might not be the worst idea, as I always notice that the lower buds are somehow a bit frostier than the tops. This is a wonderful strain tho either way, and I highly suggest trying Nerds Genetics beans. They's out of Colorado. I have another of their strains too that I haven't flowered out just yet called WhoOody (pronounced "Whoa Dee" apparently). Heard a lot of good stuff about the WhoOody too, which is Gucci OG (clone only) x Sour Strawberry (BOG Seeds).

8-weeks 12/12. Another week to 10 days should be good. Swapped out the HPS lamp with a CMH lamp for the end of flowering, trying to squeeze out a bit of extra frost with that spectrum.
