Man to be straight up, buying 7 tents... that's a huge chunk of change on items that do not contribute to more bud. I've never shopped tents, but I'd imagine your talking a grand anyway? By chopping each light up into its own closed room your eliminating all the crossover lighting of having one long canopy, the beautiful thing about multiple lights is eliminating all the shadow space, that will absolutely cost yield not doing so. Framing a 22ft wall could be down for 150 bucks. With the rooms all broken up your gonna have a hard time regulating temps, humidity, co2 as opposed to one big room.

That's all I'm gonna say about that, I'm not here to be a tent basher that's just my experience. Now to get on with your other questions: if your using co2 your going to want the room sealed, which means you need AC. How big? That's hard to tell without knowing your specific climate. Using air cooled fixtures will cut your cooling needs in half, and running co2 will allow you to have the room in the 80s, so my guess is you won't need too big of an AC, I'm not familiar with those 315s, but for example 7 air cooled 1000 hps would need about 15k btu, which is 2 window bangers. If you do go with the tents, a lung room would be in good order. You basically put your climate control in one area with no plants then circulate this conditioned air through your tents. Do your fan calculation as per formulas in the grow room design forum sticky. You want each tent to exchange air every 5 minutes. When you start to imagine this you might see where I was going with the one big room idea. With tents you need a very large or multiple in line fans to push through each tent, and a lot of air circulation in each tent to make sure theres no dead spaces. Then you need a lung space. A big room you don't need anyou in line fans, just regular oscillating wall fans and you can setup your AC and Dehuey hanging on the wall in the flower room. So easy

Since humidity related.. I opted to use this thread..

Is wood usable as frame/table in a tent/grow_room if/when constant humidity is high (70-80% with possible peaks above 80%?). What would be the tipping point of rh% for wood to be used (constant humidity / peak humidity)

Planned preventive measures planned so far:
air circulation within tent/room.

I have some lumber I could use for the project instead of plastic/metal that I would need to buy.. I fear I might be asking for trouble with wood in this kind of an environment.

Please advice.. :)

Guys , guys , guys....I grew exclusively in basements in the dirty south with RH in the 80-90 percentile 24/7/365 for well on 20 yrs with wood framed walls and major air exchange twice per minute in each flip flop room utilizing lung areas FTW....in fact...

EVERYTHING was wood covered in plywood with interior walls covered in reflectix including ceilings , so as long as environment is controlled , growin dope in basements is , was , and will always be optimal due to the excess humidity available to provide proper VPD/vapor pressure deficit levels FTW while maintaining proper watts per sq ft....anyways....

Wood`s good...as long as major air exchange and total environmental control is covered first and foremost...Tent`s work , and have come a long way improvement wise , so make the decision to either keep things temporary with tent`s , or build permanent rooms that`ll never need changing once dialed in ....just depends on whether your spot is permanent or a rental....that said....

Fortune favors the prepared mind....do research and figure out what`s best for your situation and get to work....

Peace....DHF....:ying:....

7 air cooled 1000 hps would need about 15k btu? i read each 1 hps needs about 4.000 btu in sealed rooms is that not accurate ?

that's y tents are the best thing if your worried honestly. I got 5 tents going. and had a great harvest.. but I need to buy 600w ballasts and bulbs and a few hoods so I can turn each tent into 1800w with a better yield. instead of 2000w ..

if your exhausting the air and bringing in intake you shouldn't have a fucking problem lol. honestly.

would 1800W be too hot? which is the size of the tent?
