setting up 4'x 8'X6' room, input and info needed

Hi yall, i'm setting up a new room, was initially thinking trees but am going to do an LST'd scrog or sorts, basically just training the plants out, i've done it before without the net. Here's the gear i'm going to run

2 600W HPS, lumatek ballasts
2 coolsun 6" hoods
two 4' E&F tables

my only questions are in terms of ventilation/cooling. I would assume i need a 6" fan to cool the lights off properly(going to cool the lights seperately from the room, and will use a carbon can to fan thru an ozone generator to vent out heat/odors.

any tips on fan cfm's, gear etc?

this is what i meant by the scrog by lst without the screen, i guess it's just training.

also i may have the extra cash for a light mover if needed...

Since you only have 2 lights, I would think that any 6" fan would work.

Are you going to A/C the room or just exhaust it? I think the rule is if exhasuting the room, calulate the cubic feet and get a fan that can exchange the air in 2-3 minutes. I would try to get that number as low as possible or get the biggest fan you can get

Hey Pizzadewd..........If your room`s 4x8 .....Ummmmmm......Where ya gonna fit in tha room with 2-4x4 tables........

With 1200 watts in 32 sq. ft. you`ll be challenged with with 37.5 watts per sq. ft. but using a mover might help to get angular lumens to the lower budsites if you use lower plant numbers and scrog compared to buncha smaller plants straight 12/12 in a SOG..........

Takes longer to scrog and pull a decent harvey against letting more plants finish faster and give more yield everytime with SOG grows.......

There is no faster turnaround with more crops per yr. and more yield on any horizontal grow system than a well dialed SOG.........

I`d run 2-3x3 trays so Icould at least shimmy down one wall and both ends to be able ta work tha plants........Scrog takes a lot more work than SOG......I`m sure you`ll find that out soon enough........

Good luck and take care............DHF............ :joint: ..........

that's sourbubble bx3, not something i plan to run in this setup though, it's wickedly dank but i want something that isn't going to put me to bed after 5 puffs. that plant was awesome, rock hard nugs with a blanket of trichomes..

i was unclear sorry about that, there will be room to move around. But the lumens are too low, thanks for that! and i dont want to run anymore watts so maybe two 3x3's will suffice

I am planning the same grow with the same lights and the same hoods!!!

Your 4 x 8' foot print is actualy the exact size of a 3/4" melamine sheet for $24.00

I am going to use those, with a foot print of three and a half feet deep and seven feet long, with five and a half feet hieght. That is 49 watts/sqf.

With a cool sun 6", and my foot print, you can position your hoods perfectly and evenly, venting with a inline fan.
