Thank you for the kind words, I am not very good at using a digital camera, I wish you could see what I see on these plants.
The first pic is all of the girls togethor, the second is the taller fatty in the back. It is so hard to reach these ladies they are in the back of my room. I need a better system, it will be impossible to harvest when the time comes.
This is how I interpret the grow schedule from FoxFarm and the dosage that seems to be good for my plants. Maybe people have some ideas if I am doing something wrong.
I also suppliment now with
GH BioRoot
GH Floralicious Plus
Hygrozyme
SuperThrive
these plants were given a little of these things in the last few weeks, I guess not the superthrive though.
The reseviour is maintained at about 5.7-5.9pH. When it is half used up, I top it off with more water and the soluble tri-pack, usually half as much as initially put in.
The plants were flowered at 10-12 inches tall, as you can see below in the pic.
They really don't stretch that much, if I had known that maybe I would have veged them to about 18-24in tall. I guess I should have started to come here earlier cause that info is in the strainguide...
Anyways, let me know if you want to know more about my plants, I am full of info.
Not sure how this works, but should I start a new thread for different strains I am growing, or should I just pop those pics up here as well?
Anyways, this plant is a lonely soil plant that was in the corner for a while, she has no siblings that she grew up with. It is White Rhino x Northern Lights, I have journal called closet grow where I just started two of these, the link is below.
We call the strain White Northern. It is somewhat floral in smell, but more hashy when smoked. It has an expansive smoke, quite potent and very very sticky as can be seen.
Day 56
day 60(today)
I think she has gotten fatter in the last 4 days alone!
I was mainly interested in more info and pics about your grow ... I have a pack of SS seeds sittin' in the fridge right now that I can't wait to grow out.
Looks like we have the exact same ebb/flow table, but I just use a 600w HPS sun system ... which does a good job for the smaller space I have to work in.
Thanks for putting up more info and pics ... those look like really dense and trich'y colas! And congratulations on the grow.
When your cure is fully complete, please post a full smoke report! I might have to move the 'star up in the germination order (she's actually behind BOG sour bubble which I think is going on the table next .... so much great weed, so little time! Wish I had one of them giant set ups to run 4 or 5 strains at once!)
I received the plant as a cut, I have smoked here in the past grown out by two friends.
The person I acquired the cut from is a very good friend, not the original grower though so I don't know much aside from the strain name. The original person got the lemon pheno by dumb luck, pretty cool.
They could no longer hold her, so my close friend got her and held it for a bit before giving it to me to hold. I watched a few batches go down in soil and an 8 module water-farm. They were some of the strongest buds I have smoked in both soil and drip/hydro.
This is my first run at her, some notes if you have not heard these things:
1) It takes moderate nutrients and can be burned on full strength
2) Veges slow in height, but thick growth with short nodes
3) Does not shoot up during the first weeks of flowering
4) Rock solid nuggets from the medium to the top.
My plants are minuscule compared to my friends, theirs were veged until they were about 2-2.5' tall. Large bushes in big pots. Then the plants were flowered and reached about 3.5' high and 2.5-3' in girth. The yield from those was greatly improved compared to smaller plants which are flowered.
I will ask my friend next time for some details on their harvest, then I will let you know on mine in about 8 days!
Please feel free to ask me more questions about the Sensi. There is another caregiver in my area that has a sensi star cut that I may try and trade for mine, then I can have two pheno's!
I wish I had the original seeds as I would have used the males to do some things. There are a few threads on here if you search where people breed this to some diesels and such and made lemon diesel plants or something like that.
Anyways, probably pics tomorrow as that is the cut day, I am hoping things are flushed well, just have to figure out how to get to the back of the room to get those ladies...
Here are some pics I took earlier this morning, I am half done with the work in only 3 hours. Still 4 more sensi ladies remain though.
Cons about the strain are the millions of leaves. These plants are kinda ridiculous in that they are so dense there are nugs which never receive light. The piles of leaves from the first 3 sensi plants I cut up were nearly as big as the piles of bud. Not that I am expecting a bad harvest, although this is a lot more trimming than other strains I have grown in the past.
I am not sure if this is a pro or a con, but there is pretty much buds growing off the roots of these plants they are so crazy. I will try to give a pick from the last 4 I cut up in a bit, but I have to medicate now.
Pros about the strain are the amount of rub hash on the one rubber glove I was using, and I am only half done. Also the colors are beautiful, the tops show nice purple which I did not see in either of the two samples from friends. And last but not least, this stuff stinks of old gasoline/fuel/skunk and a hint of lemon.
Here is a pic of the ladies right after I pulled them when the light shut off.
Here are the three main tops of the girls I cut earlier.

Also, here is the pic of the trimmed White Northern plant in the posts above. I think she will be about 20-30grams, not quite as big as I get them in my hydro setups. She looks quite resinous though and has a very floral aroma, I think she smells much better than the hydro White Northern I grew a bit back.
Anyways, more pics later and probably some of the sensi cola's trimmed up it is hard to tell how rotund they are with the millions of leaves covering up their profile. I guess I will show the trimmed cola's for the next 4 that get cut.
Well it seems the harvest is going well, below is a pick of what I mean by the stuff grows right from the roots...
This is the bottom branches from a plant
This is me lifting it
Here is another bottom that is not so smashed but still less than 1" from the cube to nugs.
This is the result of trimming one plant...
Here is the a top
And finally I decided to clean the glove and scissors...
I don't generally enjoy hash, but rub hash seems to be my favorite.
Does anyone have experience making hand of charras as in the new G.H.S. Strainhunter: India Expedition video?
I would really love to try that some day when I have ample plants harvested. I think this hash must be very similar as it is rubbed from the plants when trimmed immediately after the plant is killed.
Anyways, enjoy the pics. I will update in a week or so when things are dry and I have my first smokes to test the dryness. I cannot wait!
awesome man sensi star is one of my fav strains.
had it pure and also crossed with a bubba kush both were great. right now im running a sour diesel x sensi star cross which i hope is gonna be really nice too!
The crosses I see on here with the Sensi Star are crazy. You guys rock, I wish I had such awesome genetics to be playing with. I am just starting to build my list of strains and sadly the last 7 I got were in clone form so I don't have any boys.
I would really like to breed this sensi clone I got because it is an amazing phenotype. I am unsure of the males I should use. The only males I have coming up are from 3 different seed lines.
1) Ninja Turtle( local heirloom plant )
- breed for 30+ years outside
- 10 in cold climate
- last 20 in milder but still cold climate
- this plant is a very fast sativa when grown inside
- I grew her a bit back but she autoflowered and would not quit so I quickly breed her to MK-Ultra - F1 to save the genetics. I now grow 3 pheno's of that cross, they are amazing
2) P( local heirloom plant )
- breed for 30+ years outside
- all in cold climate
- extremely fast and hardy
- I have never grown her
3) Afghan x MK-Ultra
- breed by me a bit back
- the afghan was a bag seed clone I held for a long time
- the afghan harvested 2lb/1000W light and was extremely strong afghan/kush flavor and high.
- Currently I have a thread where I am trying to breed these plants to stabilize the genetics on the afghan side. I want a plant like that clone as I have lost her for some time now and have not found another afghan which I think is suitable.
The afghan x MK plants are more numerous than the others as I made those seeds so I have tons to work with. I plan on selecting for some males from that, so maybe that will be a place to start the breeding with.
Other options are the seeds I am holding from the 'Dam last time I was there. I have half a pack of L.A. Confidential seeds from DNA that I split with a friend, I may have to start those, grab some boys and let them copulate with my sensi girl. Does anyone know of that cross being made. Seems like that would be some potent bud. Perhaps the sensi will bring up the harvest on the L.A. Con a bit.
I guess the other extreme would be to put here up against a sativa boy. I am not sure about this though, and I don't think I have any sativa seeds that are not feminized.
Well, due to the bitter cold(14F outside this morning) my grow room has really low humidity. It is about 35% RH in the rooms and probably less than 25% RH in the bedroom with the grow chambers.
So I am currently medicating with some of the Sensi Star shown above, 4.5 days dried. The small side branch I took snapped off easily. I think I will slow down the fan so that it dries slowly over the next day or so to ensure an even dry.
As for the smoke, it is remarkably smooth for how green the plants were when I harvested. Usually I flush until the plant is nearly dead and all leaves are mostly yellow and dropping by the end. These plants were a little stubborn and seemed to be dying in a different way, so I took them when I did. But anyways, really really smooth for 4.5 days dried, no cure.
Secondly, the potency is just as I recall. I rolled a ordinary size blunt for myself and had a small pile remaining. Having recently purchased some new chillums I puffed the little bit before my blunt and was really medicated from 3 solid hits from a chillum. Currently, I am surprised to be able to write this post as I am really medicated from the blunt. The first time I smoked this with the person I got the cut from I fell asleep watching It's Always Sunny at their house.
Lastly, the flavor is not so spectacular at this point. The plants still have a stinky fuel smell, but most of the lemon hints that were present in the live plants is no more. Also, there are no real lemon flavors in the smoke. I am sure when I cure it out, these flavors will present themselves over the next few months maybe even weeks. But for now it is a sort of stinky fuel and skunky taste. I say skunky, not like good skunk weed, but simply like stinky weed taste. Good stinky weed taste that is!
I will post some pics later, my fiance is using the camera to take pictures of her baby ball pythons.
Sorry for the terrible quality of the photo. I guess as I start to show everyone my work on here, I am picking up a new hobby, photography. Perhaps I should invest in a new digital camera after the holidays.
Anyways, I puffed another blunt from a different portion of the dry box and it also was quite dry and smoked very well. Again the smoke was smooth, the flavor still does not have any of the lemon hints anymore, but still uncured so not really expected yet. I read on an old post that the flavor of the Sensi Star develops best after about 1-1.5 months, so I cannot wait!
I may try my hand at some photos tonight when I puff some more of this stuff with one of my patients.
By the way I have some aeroponic Sensi Star coming. These plants are a little smaller than the hydro sensi because the light was not centered on the two batches and the larger hydro plants kinda blocked out the aero ones. Whatever though, in combination, I think the 1000W light on that side of the room will have produced a good amount, numbers later.
Here is some eye candy of the up and coming ladies.
Well things got the chop today as things have been really dry. The end weight was about 10oz which I think is pretty good. At least enough for me and my patients, which is what counts. I cannot wait to make some bubble with the leaves, there were tons and they were very resinous.
Here are some pics I took of the 2nd and 3rd samples I took before chopping things.
The second pic you can really see the purple hints that the buds developed.
I cannot wait to try the aero Sensi Star that is coming up, also after that there are some soil girls which were a little battered and frozen, but I think they are growing.
Anyways, that is all for now, I will give some more smoke reports of the buds as I smoke some over the next week and share with some patients and hear from them.
