hey george

I'm not exactly sure why Steve doesnt say much on the SOL site about Blockhead....seems pretty vague on everything to me.

check out this thread tho...if you havent.

lots of great info about BH and its lineage and all that

heres a few pics of my BH cross w/ MTF:

I knew you'd pop in to this thread. those are still my favorite shots.

i'd go w/ BH personally, just a well bred strain all together. potency, flavor, and stable. what more do you need?

i guess nothing really lol. i just really would like to know, is the flavor really there? ive smoked my WD and although they were potent they just didnt taste liek they smelled even though other people told me they did. second my ak47 tasted liek smoke too. no flavor...so does the blockhead REALLY have a grapefruit taste or do you kind of have to 'search' for it with your senses?

Those BH pics are sick. Wow! As far as GSA beans, I paid only $57 USD for some of breeder Steve's LUI, germed 5 of the 10, two days later I was putting all 5 beans into soil. 100%! Limited info on Subcool here, Gypsy and Sub don't see eye to eye. No Sub beans for sale here so I guess few here are growin em.

Well, Sensi Star definately is a more consistantly couchlock strain than BH, but some extra flower time will get the BH pretty close.

They are both about the same for potency, but BH definately has more head in the high, allowing you to still be able to perform dialy tasks, that is if your a heavy toker. BH taken at any time will knock out any part time or novice toker.

Check out corey haim's growthread at PG, he ran both BH and SS recently side by side. He preferred the BH F2s overall for taste and high to the original SS, but u can't ignore SS's ability to put u to sleep.

SS even looks slightly more sativa in flower than BH, so it's decievingly more 'indica' in stone than the BH, kinda interesting.

You really won't be disappointed with either strain, but taste is very important to me and I give the edge to BH. Also, i think couchy strains become boring much faster.

Well, you have to 'search' for the right pheno to get that taste, but yea there is definately.

both SS and Bh are damn good strains, but personally i like Bh more. plus some of those SS can go for months before they are ready, Bh is pretty dependable (most are under 70 days till cloudy trichs from what i've seen/experienced)

hold your fire: thanks man. yea i knew about gypsy and sub...but for some reason i couldnt put it together that a lot of these members wouldnt grow them since tghey dont have access to it on this site haha. my own stupidity

bean counter: thank you for the info. very informative

ogrefugee: oh, i know i gotta search for the right pheno for taste, i was just wondering is the grapefruit just super faint and is used as just a selling point, or would someone with a not so sensitive palate (sp?) if you will, be able to pick up on those flavors. and thank you for your info as well.

I grew out the lemony pheno of Sensi Star this last time and I really enjoyed it. Once it cured it had the best smell and taste. Growing it in high temperatures was fine too my grow averaged around 87F. I think the yield could definitely have been better though.

Sensi Star!

The lemony, earthy pheno is so covered with crystals, almost no leaves are removed for harvest.

Heard once someone call that pheno the Dum Dum pheno, after those lemon flavored lolipops...

you guys making this HARD! im thinkin of maybe picking up a pack of each OR pickin up a pack of the BH and then also maybe picking up a pack of reefermans hashplant, when its available again. hows the yield on the BH, is it about average or is it on the higher side?

both are awesome I like the taste of sensi better though
I don't remember which pheno it was that I kept but it is kinda lemony and very earthy kinda. Best tasting blunt I ever had.

hmm i searched in the og strain guide. and saw an IC memeber posted a report on blockhead and only gave it a mildly good scores. makes me wonder, since i know bacchus is a well respected member here.

the deed is done. i purchased the blockhead. i hope i dont regret it.

anyways, i might have a little left over cash. im thinking of purchasing wally ducks c99 or reefermans hashplant. only thing i dont like is sending cash like that through the mail, hoping it gets there and then hoping the seeds come through all right. but yea i think im gonna risk it cause i want something that really tastes good and from all the research ive been doing on the c99 (especialy the pineapple pheno, which is what wally bred towards) it sounds sooo delicious.
