Sensi Star or SOL Blockhead?

intrested in growin a strong indica. i did my research on both strains for quite a while now. the sensi star sounds awesome, but being so leafy, and not having a nicer yield, leans me towards the blockhead. problem with the blockhead is, from my research is that, i cant tell whether there is any new stock. i know growshopalien has the beans for like 60 bucks and doc chronic has them for like 102 bucks...why the big difference? old stock vs new stock? any input would be great. lookin for something that has nice density, and a good yield with a knock out indica stone. like i said, any input would be great. ive always wanted to smoke some sensi star, but since i havnet had the chance maybe ill grow it instead. help! lol

hmmm lol. well what is your idea on the whole old stock new stock dilema? ive read that growshopalien is secure, and reliable but do they possibly have old stock?

finding a grapefruit pheno of the blockhead sounds nice though. but i also would like to taste that lemon metallic pheno ive heard about on the sensi star. can i ask you...would either one do particularly better with higher temperatures?

hmmm...ok for anyone thats grown it, what was the yield like? i see that paradise claims a somewhat respectable number for the star, but what has been your personal experience? i remember seeing sunnysides hydro run of the sensi star. something like 4 oz out of a 2 sqft area...which sounds real nice. i also saw info on the blockhead with breeder steve saying it could be a connoseur OR a good commercial strain...but ive yet to see any full grows with this strain and no yield numbers. any experiences?

also it seems like sensi stars low nute requirement seems like a good quality because it suggests that the yield is almost maxxed out with barley any actual feeding.

sensi star is a good strain if you are looking for potency. i dont particularly like the taste or smell but jesus, that stuff put me out!

def. go w/ blockhead

the newest BH seed stock is from a more recent backcross. The phenos should be similiar between old and new stock.

I've had both sensi star and BH (tons of BH)...like I said go w/ BLOCKHEAD

I'm unsure why there is a price difference when I got mine they were 15 seed packs for $55 usd (that was heavens stairway...gone now)

hope this helps

I am currently growing Sensi Star (1 week from harvest) and I have to say I am very impressed with this variety. Almost no stretch during flower. Sensi Star is a legend in terms of potency!

Check out these pics of SS @ 51 day flower.

Haven't tried blockhead yet but I’ve been smoking SS for almost 2 years now and haven’t found its equal (it's the crack of all bud to me). It's a little leafy but the leaves are frosted anyways, trimmings make great bubble. I've run several other strains that all yield more than SS but none can match the quality and high.

Sensi Star's the best Indica I know. Great yield of powerful buds. Lovely, long lasting smoke that has a bit of a buzz to it as well as being narcotic.

I have the Blockhead seeds already and am going to get the Sensi Star if Federation Seeds Romulan goes back up on SeedBay this week. I'll keep you posted, but I think either would be a good pick from what I hear. I had a pheno of Blockhead but lost her in a move and hadn't flowered her out but was told she was a good one....

Never done the Blockhead, but I can say, after doing Sensi for 3+ years you will not have any regrets whatsoever. Easy peasy to grow, likes organics, one can easily yield 1 1/2 - 1 3/4 oz. per 24" plant under 400's, great bag appeal, stoney as all get out. My .02.

this is a real hard choice. everyone has a thing aobut each strain that makes it better. but i do have another question about the BH. i went to the SOL website and for such a plant...breeder stever seems real mute about it. the taste/smell is only described as musty and musky...i thought there was a grapefruit pheno? but why would steve do that?

btw, excuse my rambling cause im higher than shit on some wonder diesel :)

haha wow i just reread my post and thought about how high, and how stupid i was acting when i wrote that haha. anyways, yukon, that is actually the thread that got me started on the blockhead. i saw some of the pictures and it just looks so good! im still kinda undecided but im heavily leanin to the BH due to what seems to be VERY promising SOG characteristics!

edit: btw i must say, those pics are BEAUTIFUL!

what if i were to include "danny boy" from subcool seeds. i saw 'New Grower' pics and they look like a straight cola with almost no side branching...and supposedly a super cherry taste! mmmm or maybe even the jilly bean. ive done searches on both with limited info...seems no one really fucks with subcool? but all these flavors oh my goodness...
