Self Topping Strain....

Hey all, not sure if anyone has ever seen a strain like this before? Ive got a cross i made from ATF and Comotose Train wreck. From seed she sprouted up, then right away split into 2 main stems with no training. She continued to do this over and over. She eventually ended up in a huge bush. 13 finger fan leaves. Wierd shit. So, has anyone ever seen something like this?

From what I've read... haven't seen it in person, a really excellent example of thai genetics is not being able to see a "Main" stem.

Stay Safe! :D

How about this freak. No central bud just grew a stem with some leaves.

Some Auto 47 (old line from UK (2005 from Overgrower's, some of the first auto 47 breeded), have a strong central stem, and side stems that divide naturally. A really surprising show, and welcome, because manually cut back autos is a waste of time. I try to keep this trait, but it seem's no dominant...
I must admit that in the autos world, this old model of Auto 47 is still one of my favorite. For easy maintenance, and effect... A nice all around buzz (not too high, and not too glue on your couch...) like a good old skunk... That's why I still use it to breed "modern" autos...

most sativas are naturally very branchy, some more than others, they may not "top" themselves, but the branches usually start growing when the plant is like 4-6 inches tall, and can catch up with the main stem with very little lst. but then again topping is a big NO NO in MY book, it needlessly stresses the plant and can stunt growth from 3-7 days, negating all possible benefits over lst. in that sense i can see why you would want a plant that does it naturally without any stunting. lst, or low stress training, can be used to accomplish ANY shape of plant, bonsai, trees, super low bushes, horizontal trellis type grows, you can use it to fit a plant in tiny computer box, or grow them into animal sculptures...anything is possible with the hearty marijuana plant and diligent branch training, you can adjust the amount of branching by how you train your plant.

by simply bending your tops over, you do the same thing that topping does, it encourages branches to speed up growth while slowing the growth of the main tip somewhat, but it does it without stunting the plant like topping it will, once the branches start to rise you can flower or tie down the tops of the branches, and those branches will make even MORE branches, afterward it will continue to grow more and more bushy, usually without anymore training, to stop it from creating an ever bigger bush, and to utilize the branches you have created you just throw it into flower, when a plant is flowering it stops making new branches.

why do you need a strain that self tops...wouldn't it just be easier to pick the best strains available and then top them yourself? Atleast thats what I would do but in general sativa's are much more bushy when they hit flowering then indica's from my experience...never had a plant go 2stemmed in 20yrs of growing but i don't think its a trait any1 has bred for

well this isnt something i planned for. It just did it by itself. Another interesting thing about it, is the fact that the stalk is flat. has anyone seen this before? its not round at all, very flat with ridges in it like its a super high way. it also has a citrus smell, very fruity.

Also, this all happened from the time it was 6 inches tall. Topped itself and had a flat stem/stems.
