Hey bro, damn if I ever end up like that guy I'll ask my Mrs to take me out the back and respectfully chop me up and feed me to the Pugs...

You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Anti again.

Looking great brother. I had the same issue with not watering correctly on my last run. From the looks of things, you aren't going to let that happen again. Keep it green brother.

Now how can we talk you into ditching the CMH and sticking in some HPS for flower?

nah, screw HPS, stick with the CMH, they'll perform better for that size :D

HPS FTW IMO

I loved my CMH when I used it. Aint much better except plasma at that size :D

HGO - I fully intend to try a round (eventually) with only HPS (and a round with 2 weeks of CMH, 5 weeks of HPS and 2 weeks of CMH) but first I wanna see what happens when I tweak only one major variable.

The CMH thread here is REALLY long (200 pages or something) and many people were disappointed by their first rounds, and many ditched their CMH in favor of HPS (and a lot do the 2 weeks / 5 weeks / 2 weeks or something simlar.) But there were several people who insisted that once dialed in, they got much better quality and trichome development with CMH than with HPS.

I'm still interested in hearing people's HPS/CMH/ETC opinions and especially specific bulb recommendations.

my cmh buds seemed more crystaly and a little more flavorful. They were also much more leafy. I ran the same strains, same mediums..yadayada. Hps got me much better yields. I felt the overall quality was better with hps. I'm all about quality over quantity but the added leaf matter in the buds of the cmh made for a lower quality then the hps imo.

I totally agree with ya only tweeking one thing at a time though.

Looking good bro. Keep it up.

Virtually EVERYONE I talked to at my med sites bout the CMH`s was very insistent that they promote stretchy elongated internode spacing with frostier nugs come harvey.....but....

At what cost for leafier/fluffier/larfy nugs on long ass stems....If you`re gonna run em again , flip the plantlets sooner and maybe they`ll not stretch as much and swell closer to each nug on the vine/internodes above and below........

I ALWAYS ran HPS ftw and once I hit 50 watts per sq ft , the best quality product I ever had appeared before my eyes with the same strain/hybrid I`d been runnin outside and in for over 15 yrs.....

Good luck Anti...DHF....:ying:.....

I have to admit that the large majority of people I've read about using CMH claim it is great for veg but not so great for flowering. However, there are a handful of people (whose opinion I respect) who simply rave about CMH over HPS in flowering.

I'm gonna run 'em through at least one more harvest. The next harvest will run 12/12 from the start.

I know almost everybody runs HPS and I don't think almost everybody is stupid. But almost everybody told me I'd never do anything worthwhile with CFL, too.

DHF (and anyone who cares to answer) what are your thoughts on the different HPS options available? They range from $10 a bulb to $100+ per bulb. If and when I buy some, am I really buying anything that I'll notice with my extra $90?

Flora Nova worked great for me in my CFL cab and MaxiBloom is basically Flora Nova without paying for the water. I'm gonna run it through the next harvest just so that I can see the difference the watering method makes.

As far as most views.... that's crazy. Definitely not something I ever expected. I hope everybody's learning something from my ineptitude.

I've got the 1/2" tubing all installed now. I'm gonna get started with attaching the 1/4" drip lines now. Looks like each one won't need to be any longer than about 4".

Hey Anti....I got all my shit in pkg deals and all I can comment on is the 600 watt "eye horti`s" and they served me well for many many yrs......

I think they were 60 bucks with volume discounts , but I do believe they`re the highest lumen output bulb per wattage but don`t quote me on that ......

A lotta folks liked the cmh`s once they dialed the strains/hybrids they were runnin and started flippin em sooner to compensate for the increased stretch factor so as not to be growin stem but rather budsicle structure with appropriate swellage......

One thing that worked with my drip setups with the 1/4" tubing was to make em 12" long and let em come out the supply line go up over and back down to the plants to help equalize flow and pressure to each plantsite .......helps the loop manifold spread juice more evenly with lil bit longer tubing......

Shorter tubing tends to act like a pressure washer and blast a hole when the pumps kick on , but it`s trial and error Anti....

Whatever it takes ta make your setup as good as it can be and pump out amazing results once all falls into place....

Peace....DHF....:ying:.....

yup, long drip tubes FTW... You want them all the same length to keep the pressure equal, like Freds was telling you. Adjust the height of the stake to adjust the flow... Till ya can afford blumats, ya heard?

I originally bought 1/2" black vinyl "sprinkler" tubing but it had an INNER DIAMETER of only 3/8. So I returned it and bought the clear 1/2" ID vinyl. They didn't have a black vinyl option for 1/2" and the next option was to spend 2.60 a foot for something that looked like a heavy duty garden hose and the 1/4" elbows were not likely to penetrate.

Let me know if that's some kind of crucial issue that can't be solved with electrical tape later.

yeah buddy! It's gonna be fun wrapping that tubing... but ur right, at most stores the 1/2" cpvc is out of stock at the HD. I'm lucky in that I can't throw a rock w/o hitting a hydro store... Looking good! Can't wait to see what's next.

Wrap it b4 yas tap it.......words ta live by........

Any light leaks on clear tubing will cause algae buildup and proliferation if left to grow and multiply......but....

There`s a guy here that`s used clear tubing for yrs and the shit turned green as a gourd and never hurt his baseball bat sized NL 5 colas so I dunno...

Wouldn`t run it in Fredville but if it gets yas by till next run what the hell....if there was anyway ta wrap it with reflectix you`d be golden , but it don`t look like there`s room with those nail on pex clamps....

Good luck...DHF...:ying:....

Looking great Anti, as usual. Like everybody said, I would definitely cover that. You can just get some black duct tape, I have done it before. It would be a lot quicker to do the duct tape, oh man I am not jealous if you have to wrap electrical tape. Keep it green homey, you are almost here, from here on in it is all about dialage, and you will be rocking. KEep it green.

I'm not surprised at all. Your attention to detail, quality, and making it all come together is just awesome. This thread and (especially for me) the $500 cab thread are very inspiring. Thanks for sharing!
Stay safe & keep up the good work :tiphat:
