Seedy buds - dry first or squeeze out the seeds wet?

I have a rack of seedy haze I just pulled. Should I let it hang and dry and get the seeds then, or squeeze out the seeds now while it is wet and so are they?

Sorry to hear of your seeds... I grew a Brothers Grimm Cindy XX that hermed on me and seeded the hell out of everything. I let dry as normal and Before vaping tried to remove the seeds. I tried to squeeze out and it kind of worked. My fingers would get sticky and when I was done little vapeable bud was left. Did not work so well. I had a few poppers after which took me back a couple decades... I just used this for edibles after a while. Incidentally, the remaining bud has dried to very little moisture. It would be much easier to remove seeds now. The bud is crumbly and turns to shake quite easily. I don’t have to grind anymore really. Just use my fingers to crumble and you could pick through or use something to remove seeds. I honestly don’t know the quality of the bud so dry like this. Good luck brother...

Don't feel bad, I did this on purpose when all the plants I had come up on one strain were males for some reason. I picked the best looking one with the skinny leaves and let it knock up another skinny leaf plant I was gonna have grow along side. This was an experiment for my first try on a 16 week sativa, and I have two phenos of viable seeds it appears, cause I also knocked up a fast version of the same strain. Fast and slow phenos. I finger ground out seeds on the first set of buds. The fingers got sticky, and the bud is about useless except to make butter. But I did get the seeds all at once.

I'm in the same boat with some G13 Widow seeds. I got 4 out wet but it was a bit of a job and the resin on my fingers is black. Is this normal?

Cheers for the advice (y)
I dried the G13 Widow male buds for a couple of days then put them in a jar and gave them a shake and these came out
There's still plenty left on the buds which I assume will shake free once they're a bit dryer :)
They seem to be bigger than the ones I purchase on line

Always dry! And if you plan on using the seeds with good germination, dry them at least 3-4 weeks before germination.
Interesting I didn't know this...I let mine sit in a glass vial after removing them from the buds wet but definitely still had plenty popped after only a few days of that.

If you want to use the seeds then they should stay in the flowering plant as long as possible. If you´re after the buds only then I suggest cutting, drying and get the seeds out then as this will then be a little easier imo.

Some breeders say their seeds grow 12 weeks minimum before harvest them, to have good seeds ! Is it true ?
Yes, they say that the plant should be kept as long as possible, basically wilting until the seeds are collected, in order to `ripen´ the seeds. It´s to ensure the seeds are good ones.
