i have a similar issue. but mine is way past your stage. i think its because my soil is too acidic. i just watered with some lime tainted water (lol) and im waiting to see what happens in the next few days. i suggest not feeding them anything. you will only make it worse. your plants dont need any food till the cotyledons fall off. all you will be doing is making it worse. http://www.icmag.com/ic/album.php?albumid=763&pictureid=16744

Yeah I would switch soils I think. Something simple, add perlite, and make 1/3 of your soil mix out of coco coir. You can get that at the pet stores. Look in the reptile bedding for "Eco Earth" by the company Zoo Med. If at least 1/3 of your total mix is coir, you can't over-water your plants. I can't overstate how valuable this is!

Okay I think I'm gonna go back to the soil I had great success with , Miracle Grow Organic. Don't hate. I'll try that with 1/3 perlite, 1/3 coco as per your recommendation sir.

Only problem is I can't really "pot up" to a much larger container at this time so I don't know how much it will help. Is it okay when transplanting to knock the old soil off the roots and around the sides so they will have more space in the new soil?

Thankfully, I've got 12 more of these beans and plan on germing them this week and then putting in MG organic and perlite. I'll be sure to post the happy seedlings in that 'god awful' stuff :).
