thanks buds... am checking link..I read a lot but there always seems to be more to learn..like such a small variant in the ph would make such a big diff..as many have been trying to point out..I dont have money to shell out for a good tester right now..even strips get expensive if you dont have much to spend..might just have to stick to growin outside..but Im gonna keep tryin till spring anyway..

PH is a CRITICAL element to growing, no matter where you grow..inside or out. As soon as you add nutrients to your water, you have changed the PH,,,and controlling soil/media PH is absolutely imperative to the root zone.

If you can't test or control PH levels in water and soil/media...you have no choice but to go organic. With organic PH control is a minimal issue due to the microbe herd.

You're counting on getting lucky, remember "luck is preparation meeting opportunity"...and you aren't prepared with the necessary tools, the plants don't care about your personal problems :)

You want free weed, you have to have more than a few free bag seeds...if it was that easy everyone would be doing it :tiphat:

You should have concentrated on my first 3 paragraphs, instead of getting your panties in a bunch over the reality of the last one :tiphat:

Name calling is unnecessary and childish, best wishes in your future endeavors alone "Rasta".

I was using one of those garden soil meters too for awhile, it was completely inaccurate. It would show 6 ph from a capful of ph down into a gallon of water. But general hydroponics ph testing drops shows I only need a few drops, like .25ml. I was watering my plants with really acid water for awhile by trusting that meter.

I would buy some organic soil, like black gold and rinse the roots in water and transplant into the new soil. I promise you if you do this and your lighting is good, the plants will bounce right back within a day or two.
