I would for sure add perlite, if anything to help with the overwatering that many of us do every now and again.

I don't believe in a "light" medium unless you are talking about hydro.... Perlite can help any soil mix become BETTER no matter what the sales pitch on the bag of soil says.

let them recover, dry out a bit and actually become "light" when you lift up the pot and when ready for a transplant to a larger container have perlite mixed in with your soil.

It will be like night and day for sure

thanks for advices, i heard that the soil i am using is forest soil and i heard that its good for potting as it lets roots to breath, it seems pretty dense but actually its not , its not like clay
That soil looks like almost pure peat moss. The reason why it feels light is that peat has to come into contact with water for longer than soil does to absorb the water. Especially when it's in clumps like your soil is.

Some plants are just slower growers than others. Adding more lights was a good idea and adding perlite is almost a necessity in the future. You can also add a wetting agent like a phosphate-free dish detergent (I use Ivory).

A trick I use for runts is to add a few drops of seaweed extract to the base of the plant and then water it in. It doesn't burn them because it's mostly low dose micronutes and growth hormones. That perks them up most of the time.

I use universal soil ... I dont feed it anything, just pH'd water... it's great and my plants love it... cost 1 euro per 20 liters...I think I just got very lucky

if you use water from the tap, make sure it is left to stand for 24 hours to release chlorine from it...

the best thing is to check the pH and EC of your tap water, then you can tell what if you can use it or if you will have to mix Ro or distilled water.
