You also don't want a 14yr old running ethertools or etherreal to crack your shitty false security encryption and intercept a .jpg of 1,200 plants ;-)

Just because it is secure today doesn't mean tomorrow a Chineese Mathematician won't crack it and publish it on wikipedia or a full disclosure hacks site

Damn those math geeks! I'm happy with my layers of otr, ssl and ssh for my IM stuff Just don't keep it simple and I think you onto a winner I have got part way through things before then given up on the 2nd or third hurdle so I'm sure many other sec workers will too

anybody have any experience with a low cost reliable system that will just will let me check the air temp,water temp, humidity and also has the ability to automatically call a preset number if the temps / humidity get to high or if their is a power outage or flood or a security breach of a door/window sensor?

any real life experiences with these?
