Seattle cop who issued 80 percent of marijuana tickets reassigned

I lived in downtown Seattle for 9 years, it has a horrible homeless and drug (not cannabis) problem... So with all those crack heads and meth heads why was this cop so adamant about cannabis users?

BTW, If you have to start you sentence with "I'm no racist but..." , you are a racist. Period.

I acknowledge other races but don't discriminate against anyone. I hope to make a beautiful Mexican my wife:) but I won't be asking for a while longer.. Some cities, or parts of town have white people, or Mexicans, etc, that are poor and on drugs, but where I was in Seattle what I saw was predominantly black people that were down and out. If people are disrupting shit downtown then you have to let em know they need to chill. If he's a bike cop he's probably in an area that's populated and trying to mellow shit out. What I'd like to know is how many warnings were given vs tickets handed out. Or did he just bust everyone he caught smoking.. Of course we'll never know anything except 8%<36%=unfair.. Maybe he's a dick, maybe not. Sounds like he is. But a racist dick? I don't see it.

People start sentences that way when the leftist news has brainwashed them into being insecure about so much as speaking about race. I can have black friends and girlfriends, I but if I mention I saw black crackheads in Seattle I'm racist? Doesn't add up. My black friends like being black and appreciate their heritage and don't want to be white or the same as whites. Most just want to be peaceful loving humans, and every race or Creed will always acknowledge their ancestors and culture. The US puts people in a box, so people like to remember sometimes what the old ways were like. In my eyes, and the eyes of the law, and in the eyes of God we are all equal, but who says we are the same? I'm glad people of other races can appreciate me as I do them and except me into their lives to experience their love and thieir culture because, well, I'm different..

Human Races don't exist biologically, they are a social construct created by people who sought to justify their marginalization of those who looked different. Reality is not black and white. There is only one race, the human race

Fucking Bullshit propaganda article to promote the leftist racist agenda. If anyone has been in downtown Seattle during the night you'll see waaay more than 8%black people. There's a lot of Crack and meth use and these fuckers are on the streets all night until the sun comes up. He ticketed people for smoking in public which is illegal. I smoke in public and always have and I know the law is Bullshit but I certainly expect a ticket if I'm blatant and rude. I'm no racist but it's easy to see all the black people on Crack when you're downtown. Why not roust them. You need to stay in their face or they will just ignore law enforcement and shit will snowball and get even worse. Fucking crackhead spit in my face because I didn't give him five dollars so I threw my beer bottle at his face and missed by an inch. Then I jumped away about 20feet and talked some shit. I didn't stand a chance because this guy was 6' 250lbs and I'm 160. Welcome to Seattle!
that's totally not racist.

`Well, I shan't go, at any rate,' said Alice: `besides, that's not a regular rule: you invented it just now.'

`It's the oldest rule in the book,' said the King.

`Then it ought to be Number One,' said Alice.

..... fact of the matter is that sometimes reality is just so fkn bad it's easier to devise a mental construct and look away than it is to actually deal with a situation that's difficult to change!;):moon:

“Of course it is,’ said the Duchess, who seemed ready to agree to everything
that Alice said; ‘there’s a large mustard-mine near here. And the moral
of that is– “The more there is of mine, the less there is of yours.”

“I quite agree with you,” said the Duchess; “and the moral of that is—‘Be what you would seem to be’—or if you’d like it put more simply— ‘Never imagine yourself not to be otherwise than what it might appear to others that what you were or might have been was not otherwise than what you had been would have appeared to them to be otherwise.’ “

You guys playing the race card can suck it. I grew up in a white trash town where the people that got rousted by police were white. They were the ones on the street at night. Just because it's blacks in Seattle has nothing to do with racism. It's called observation. The woman in my life is Mexican. I love her. You fuckers are trying to create something to demonize out of thin air. Typical lefties. Stick up for your victim of choice while putting others down. Why not look for a peaceful solution for all instead of one up/one down mentality? So busy trying to read between the lines you missed the actual content. I think your mind is made up, so continue with your hate while pretending to be righteous.

..
Since I like telling stories to get my point across, here's a quicky.. In 2002 I drove to Oxnard California from Orange County to look for a home to live/grow in. I made a stop for some food along the way, and got a 32 Oz Dr pepper as well . I had stopped consuming caffeine about a year prior, so this was basically a relapse. I drank it quickly and refilled the cup with another 32oz of DP and continued on my way. My heart was pounding, and my mind racing.

When I got to Oxnard It was about 1am. At that stage of my life I was an insomniac and was up sometimes for two or three days at a time. This was no such occasion, but having such a fucked up schedule made it normal for me to be out late at night, much more so than the average Joe, which is why I was scouting out homes after midnight. I had six houses to drive by. My goal for the night was to take a look at the neighborhoods they were in, check proximity to neighbors, etc, and then the following day I would call to do a walk through if any places looked good. The first house was in a small complex right off of a major street, and with the lights changing in the intersection, distracting me, and my heart pumping 200 beats per minute from the caffeine, I missed the turn into the community and looked for a place to make a u turn. I drove for a mile or two and started to notice the houses were looking run down, bars on windows, dead lawns, etc. I decided since it was late and it was a residential area, I would just make the u turn, and head back to the highway and look for house number two, as the first place was a tad too close to the ghetto for my comfort. That's when I saw the red lights flashing..

I pulled over to the side of the road and rolled my window down for the officer. I had a joint stashed which was no concern for me really, so I wasn't nervous about anything and thought nothing of it, but still I was wondering wtf was going on. Of course he starts with the usual "have you had anything to drink tonight?" Then he asks me, "what are you doing in this part of town"? I obviously didn't tell him the truth or give details, and told him I made a wrong turn and found myself in the ghetto and just wanted to get back on my way. He asked me to get out of the car and did a bunch of field tests and just kept saying, "I don't know what you're on, but I know you're on something." I told him about the Dr Pepper and he laughed while putting handcuffs on me, then took me to jail. Over and over I heard him say "nobody comes to this area this late at night unless they're interested in buying drugs."

I was arrested on Friday morning at 1am. Usually for something like this someone would see the judge the following day, but the next day was Saturday, so I'd have to wait until Monday. I was charged with 2 felonies. Under the influence of a controlled substance, and Driving under the influence. I saw the judge Monday and was released after midnight, so it was early tuesday morning. Fri, sat, sun, Monday spent in the slammer for Dr Pepper. Needless to say I was blown away. Insomnia kicked in and I didn't sleep for 3 of the 4 days, so it really wasn't much fun at all.

I had promised to return to court in 30 days for sentencing, pending the results of the drug test. I held up my end and showed up to a surprised judge telling me to "have a nice day, you're test came back clean." I glanced across the court room towards the arresting officer, smiled and walked out.___

One interesting thing to note is that while I was in jail I noticed it was predominantly white inmates, followed by Mexicans, and then a few black dudes. At that time there was a big Crack problem in Oxnard and everyone was coming down and acting fucking nuts. Crazy white people trash everywhere. I suppose I must be racist to point that out. There's no other logical explanation as far as I can see with my tunnel vision. Head to Tucson, or Albuquerque, and you'll notice more Mexicans out at night on drugs. Huntington Beach you'll find the white tweekers. All of this is observation. We're all people, also an observation. The human race comes in lots of colors, shapes, and sizes, another observation. I spent weeks in Seattle and walked at night for miles through most parts of town and saw tons of black folks on crack. Not so many Hispanics or whites. I was quite surprised by this since my white dad used to go to Seattle to score Crack in the 80's, and my assumption was I'd see more people like him on the street.

I'm not sure if this is an attempt at sarcasm but it comes across as such. This special person in my life is a Mexican. She loves her culture and being Mexican and I love her regardless if she was from Neptune or Ethiopia or Mexico or wherever. None of that shit matters to me. I'm not allowed to point out that Mexicans exist without coming across as racist? Grow up
