i am...you hear someone has been shot in the leg, you figure no big deal, you might have a hindered step or lose a kneecap until its reconstructed no big deal... unfortunately an artery got hit and them its game over... they say florida is full a old people but that shows you how reckless the dade county area can be... hes the second player down there to die from being shot in the last year, miami fl senior DT brian pata was the other... blazing right now to his memory personally being a football player/fan myself :joint:

IM A NINER FAN 2 THE HEART BUT man , he is like 1 of my fav players. it kind of hits me hard. prayers go out the the fam and friends . RIP Meast. (Due to his ferocious style of hitting, his teammates had nicknamed him "Meast," a summarization of "half-man, half-beast.")

This bumbed me out. His dad is the chief of police so who knows why they did this. I guess at an ealier date they broke in and left a knife on the bed. My prayers go out to his family .

He had some trouble through the years with various charges(fire arms, DUI, etc.), but you still have to respect the guy who tries to change his life for the better for his new family. Terrible how everything turned out. Great player, and my prayers go out to his family as well.

You are so right about his troubled past, and his cleaning himself of that dirty past, I was reading were teammates stated they notice the change in him after his daughter was born.

I personnaly believe that the fact that he already had a gun charge, and caught again probally would be "in trouble" buy the nfl if caught again, was one of the reasons he did not have a gun. (Tank johnson)

I fill for him and his family esp the daughter who will have to grow up without a father. RIP

Its a sad day to be a Redskins fan. RIP #21. You will be greatly missed.
Btw, Clinton Portis has decided to change numbers from 26 to 21 for the rest of the season in honor of Taylor.

RIP Sean Taylor!

i will be burning one and pouring some out in your loving memory!

my thoughts are with the child he left behind, and his family and friends.
i have been feeling sick all day long. i cant begin to imagine what the team feels. let alone his family.
helpless

and i love CP, but i think they should immediately retire the number 21 and send it to the ring, with the other redskins greats. where he belongs!

sad day to be a skins/football fan

Damn, he did so much for society, too

journies: just cause he wasnt exactly a model citizen, doesnt mean that another young man, husband, and father's death should be joked about with e-sarcasm...have some respect, what kind of deadhead are you to be trivializing someones passing away

RIP

The only reason why most people bring themselves to give a shit about this is because the guy was a pro football player. It is just weird. It's like ok, this guy died. But...what about everyone else? You gonna mourn them too every day, every second...? :joint:

RIP Sean, I'm not into pro sports much. But I remember Sean playing against the Ohio State Buckeyes in the Championship game in 03 and he was one hell of a good player if i remember right he had 2 interceptions that game. "But ever since he had his child, it was like a new Sean, and everybody around here knew it. He was always smiling, always happy, always talking about his child." -Clinton Portis
a life cut too short.
