Anybody on here can help with a ccouple of ? on window bangers and having it in the room don't you have to exhaust the heat of the roof? Or do you have to keep the exhaust in a other room?

If the a/c is in the room you still have to exhaust the hot air out what differents does it make if you have a single hose you still have to exhaust.

Also why would you need an intake I thought you just have to exhaust hot air.

In hazywounder thread he has two holes in the box one pullin air from his veg room and one exhausting.

I use a 12,000 BTU unit right in my window,it just recirculates the air no smell escapes out in the yard or I would have been dead long ago.Get black plastic sheeting from home depot and silver tape and black out any open window area around the AC.I learned early its best to use plastic or wooden blinds, the cheap metal ones will curl and expose the black plastic beneath. If you put your face up to the window lol

Okay people, I'm on my way to ordering most of the gear needed for my sealed room grow, I'm looking at 3/4 non air cooled 600w lights for a grow area of 30/35 square feet and am thinking of a 12000 BTU split air conditioner, will this be enough or should I go for a 18000 BTU?

Next problem, CO2, my total room volume is around 430 cubic feet, which would be the most cost effective, CO2 gas from a bottle or a CO2 generator using propane?

I would prefer to use bottled CO2 but am loathe to pay BOC for bottle rental as they take your eyes out and I would have to rent 2 or 3 bottles for easy accessible changeovers, always having a spare when one is to be filled.

propane on the other hand produces heat and H2O and in such a small room I'm a little iffy about the safety aspect.

How long would a 13.8 kg CO2 cylinder last approx in the above volume of room @ 1500 ppm?

Thanks people you have been very helpful.

well after a lot of thought I feel as though I have my answer, I'm going to have to use bottled CO2 due to it being a sealed room.

Not enough O2 for the propane burner to run is there, at least not enough for it to be a fire hazard and goosh unburnt propane into my grow room.

I believe the rule is every 1000Watts produces 3500 BTU's of heat. So the 1200 may work

I don't know what your local climate and microclimate is, but I have lived in places were I ran a sealed room with no dehumidifier.

You know if it is humid where you live. Wouldn't think it makes a difference in a sealed room, but it does.

I also ran a propane burner in there.

The plants exhale O2. There is plenty in there.
