Just so everyone who needs to know.
Tuna kush is a strain....and also a trademark by a crew that grew weed so pungent and low yielding it was sold in tuna cans to contain the smell (tuna, pink, og, bubba etc). And turn a high profit. And be stored without being busted.
I have the original tuna clone and it would have been sold in the 70s 80s and 90s as skunk weed.
It's flower density and pungency is up there with the most. It's funny about the rotting fish myths. Maybe a bud can paint 1000 smells?
It's also one of the worst commercial varieties to grow. Which historically speaking the best most potent
Here's the cut. Very similar looking to the original pink but half the size. Spent all summer in the garden and lucky if it's 2 feet tall. I can see why they liked to rock her hydropnicaly.

I only bought a 3 pack of fems. I fucked up and let two seedlings damp off. Took me a while to learn how not to water a newly germinated seed. This was the third, so I just have the one plant to go by.
Chopped it today, actually, as I spotted a tiny bit of bud rot on one of the tops.
But it was pretty much done anyways.
It flowered really early- like first week of August, which is a real plus in Canada.
Grew well, very vigorously. A bit susceptible to mold but it fought off a bad wave we had in late Aug/early sept.
Cold doesn’t faze it.
Big yielder. Thick, dense tops. Very leafy- there will be a fair bit of trimming to do.
Not a loud smell, but a nice apple/citrus with black hash underneath aroma up close. Kind of like an amnesia haze or something.
Only had that test bud so far- but all signs point to the effect being as described by the breeder. Though I find it hits hard off the top with a big head rush- then settles down to the “clear” Sativa high people talk about with this strain. Very potent for sure.
It’s a good candidate for outdoors in Canada- I’m sure it would be good indoor as well. I’d recommend it.
There’s more skunk notes in this line than your entire library….

Ultimate may be pushing it- but it seems very solid to me. I’ve only been at it for four summers. I tried some sativas before that just didn’t finish on time. This is the first one with proper Sativa-like effects that actually gets fully ripe by mid-October. So for that alone, it makes it a very appealing prospect to grow outdoors this far north.
And it yields huge.

Green Mountain seeds. Hes a guy from the north that breeds short flowering sativas just for your situation. Theres a few canadians on there with some great results

I’ve been meaning to check him out. With my very limited space to grow outside (basically a back deck) I usually lean towards fems, but I would like to try the Grape or Zacatecas Tribute.
There’s more skunk notes in this line than your entire library….
