I'm betting that anybody who has heard of LHB would want to run it next to anything to compare.

Males should be kept down wind from the females at least 1/4 mile away. Even being that far away there's a chance that you may find an unexpected seed or few.

If the wind in your area comes in from random directions (no prevailing wind) move the males a mile away.

I has a bunch of females take pollen a few years ago. The 2 males were with the 2 females I was pollinating & the wind reversed direction pollinating my entire crop.
The male/female container was about 50 yards away, down wind from the remainder of my garden. I also had one female down wind from those males that didn't get pollenated. They were about 1/4 mile away.

Damn that's pretty wild. That definitely changes plans I was toying with then.

I got my dudes in the garage since the ladies started blooming. Captured their pollen last and this week. Just one male left to collect from. Should of just forced flower the lot under a t5, but ended up at the same place either way. Pollen to chuck.

How far would you guys keep males from females outdoors comfortably to avoid pollination?

i keep my males in a 4x8 tent in my garage with no intake or exhaust fan
probably 500 ft from my indoor room full of females and about 800 ft from the outdoor girls.
i moved one or 2 outdoor ladies in smaller containers into the breeding chamber to get pollinated and will put them back outside after about a week.

am very careful, only go in the breeding tent last thing at night and always shower directly afterwards, AND i spray mist the entire outside of the tent when i am done inside AND spray the area around the tent just to any loose pollen that i'm sure escapes the tent

no problems yet.....

I find it easiest and safest for your gals to keep the males indoors once they begin dropping pollen.
Collect pollen then dust the ladies you want.
Long as you are careful you can get seeds only where you want them.

I just pulled about 150 seeds from a GG#4 that were completely unintentional. Think it was from my Orange Glue male but it could have been Blueberry as well.

So I'm getting things moving again.

I'm close to flip on a catpiss, ogkb2.0, daywrecker, a catpiss x moontang, special ogk haze, ogk haze x LV bubba kush, a grape ape and a trapper creek og.

I've already cracked 36 catpiss bx1's to get that back rolling as well.

My new room is still not cleaned up enough for pics...

looking great c4, glad you are breaking in that new space finally....

i just harvested seeds;
grapefruit bluberry headband (thanks mikenite!) x bubba jam
Dakini Kush x bubba jam
mazaar guerrero x bubba jam
(silver grapefruit MCD x agent orange) x bubba jam
(sour tsunami x scotts ogk) x bubba jam
sour pez x bubba jam
dj shorts f13 f2 (sativa pheno) x bubba jam

also have a grape stomper og pollinated by the bubba jam, finishing up outside - she smells like grape gas all the way, might try re-vegging the seeded mom
also have an indica pheno of the dj short f13 f2 and a cali connect "fortune cookies" (gsc) both pollinated with the bubba jam, also finishing up outside.

i'm about to chop the male flo-scout because he has done his job and then some, proper pollination in the tent, every single calyx is swollen with seed.... battling spider mites in the breeding chamber, luckily that's where they are strong=holding......
