scam or good speakers

Your experience with life..or your experience with this issue? Yes...I could prove that if I really wanted to. I wouldn't say otherwise. They aren't stolen... I admit it is a super crude and extremely unethical way to do things...but it is effective. People buy those things up.

You can tell it is a scam because of the pitch. The pitch is that somehow they have them to sell you because of a mistake somewhere, of somekind. So YOU, can take advantage of this error, inviting you to buy goods that are a steal due to circumstance. That is the scam, when in fact it is just a way to sell a product to suckers. This deal has been running for decades.

yeah these guys had the magazine full color glossy in all. well i was stooged and did it out of instinct thinkin i could make a quick buck, hard times in all.
i paid 220 dollars for the system.

Looks real nice and lightweight kinda no weights to weigh it down or anything. But after my purchace I went to look it up and sure enough read a fourm of people gripping about they been scammed but no real complaints on the product. I'm leaving in the box and will re-sell at my garage sell as the wedding gift we didnt need, lol for a steal 250 so i can aleast get my money back

i saw this before and cant believe i feel for it, except this was about 20 years ago and my friend bought the whole lot off the guys and wrote a check and canceled it on them, but his were the real deal and was stolen merchandise unlike mine that is a knock off of i guess crap???

yeah Klipsch are the real deal and very good quality. Those are cheaper ones from china. if you got the time to browse you will probably find them here:
http://www.globalsources.com/gsol/I/Speaker-manufacturers/b/2000000003844/3000000159275/12546.htm

scams are all over. you could build your own either from nothing or in a kit. Have a look at a the spec's of a few speakers you like and see if you can buy the parts on-line.

This is a parts web site: http://www.partsexpress.com/

Or you can get full kits ready to assemble and I think for the money you are talking you would easily do it for a 5.1. I read a write up somewhere but I cant find it. Dont know if anyone else knows what I am talking about?

Building your own speakers is fun and easy! You can build it from scratch using formulas from a book, get a little help and have the crossover designed for you at a small cost (most of the wiring), or get a kit that takes 1 night to put together. I highly recommend these guys. http://www.madisound.com/ They are in madison, Wisconsin. Extremely high quality speaker components and supplies.

Step away from the van.....Total cheese man. They will sound all boxy and restrained. No imaging whatsoever. They make the name fairly close to Klipsch...because people think Klipsch are great...and some are...but even Klipsch has some really overpriced units out there. Horns are nice...but not in the entry level or even mid level range.

Rule number one when buying any audio gear....let your ears decide...noithing else.

Bose learned along time ago how to trick people into believing their gear sounded good. No highs...no lows...it must be Bose. Better sound through marketing!

SH

Why would I want to argue about what speaker sounds best? First of all...there is no such thing as the best sounding speaker. Everyone has a different idea of what sounds best with their ears. What I think sounds excellent, is not going to sound excellent to everyone else, and visa versa.

Using scientific instruments to measure sound quality does not reveal anything either. Just look at how they said cd's sounded better than lp's...based on specs alone. Yet cd's still suck most of the time compared to lp's. Don't even get me started on mp3's.

I must say the best speakers I have ever hear though are: Vandersteen Model 5a...followed closely by the Tannoy Churchhills.

Cheers,
SH

Whoa shit... to be quite honest, this same situation happened to me 3 years ago.. I walk outside of my house and a white van pulls up and dude inside says theyre overstocked and I could have these speakers for like $100 or something.. I tell the dude I have no money and he drops it down to $50 lol

I didnt think that happened to other people. Im in the upper midwest

sonds like a scam thats been running in england for at least 14 years.

same operation white van and only 1 pair of speakers, they say there was 1 pair to many put on the van and if they go back with the speakers then thell just go back to the company.then they produced a newspaper(loot)which ppl and companys sold stuff.
would then show you the speakers for sale in the newspaper secondhand for 2400 uk sterling and then trying to make a deal with you on that strength.basicly the speaker were crap and the add in the paper was placed by themselves as it a frre ads paper.
