Saved From OG: ~DIY~ Octagonal Reflector

blynx, Right on man... Any chance I could get that a copy of that PDF? :D

:biglaugh:

BTW, Good find on the original author of this hood. Muchos Gracias to Durban Poison as well.

Thanks for the compliments guys, I appreciate them!
The hardest part about building the entire reflector was deciding on where I should put the flaps so I could bolt down the sheet metal.

If I could do it all over again... I would have used pop rivets (had no gun) and made the flaps the entire length of the hood, rather then 3/4 of it. I'll be installing it in my grow box here very shortly. I'll maybe put up a picture of it then, or just wait till I start my grow thread.

very nice guide
ive actually heard from several that the octagon design offers the best use of light ever compared to any reflector design but i havent seen it tested against others

this is a really nice reflector and ive heard it should be one of the best open reflectors around
but they are expensive and hard to find so i may just have to test this DIY guide onbe day
tnx for posting it

Good work recovering this from the OG archives Pontiac.

I'm setting up a grow space of 40x40cm with a 150w MH/HPS and would like to use one of these reflectors, thing is I'm not sure what dimentions I should be looking at.

Do you have any idea what size the reflector wants to be?

Cheers.
