SATORI

This is a picutere I took of my favorite pheno among the 4 Satori girls I had growing this winter.

She produced tight flowers with a high calyx to leave rotio, very hairy, great smell and nice trichome coverage, and ah well, a fat top cola.

The picture was taken right before the harvest.

As you can see from the fanleaves and overall appeal, she was really ready.

Other pictures will follow, but as many former OGs might allready know, I am an old schooler when it comes to photography(and many other things...), and
that takes more time...

Best wishes to the whole community.

BTW.: Could anyone give me some advice on how to poste my pictures in a larger way?

I haven´t been into posting too many pictures after the shock of OG being shut down.

Now, after a year, I guess it´s time to start over again,

Peace,

Sawaat Dii Spice Cowboy. Lovely fat Satori bud there, wicked! I started a pack of these recently and have two in flower at the moment (see thread in signature) and am looking forward to them intensely.

In veg they were supa-consistant and now in flowering I've noticed two slightly different pheno's in flower structure (backed by following leaf structures). A thicker leafed type showing fatter buds and a thinner leaf type with longer slightly more airy spear shaped buds. Both seem to have the same smell though. On the vine it is incredibly spicey sandelwood with a sour fruit backing, delicious. If I had a time machine right now I'd ignore the whole obvious lotto winning scenarios and zoom forward in time to sample some fully cured Satori bud!

I'd be interested to here a little about how they grew for you and I'd be as interested as ft to know how they smoked, if you have tried it yet!?! If you have cut it down how long did she go and if you have I'd love to here a smoke report.

Thanks for sharing Spice Cowboy.

If you don't mind here's a couple of mine with at various stages go:.

Thanks again for sharing Spice Cowboy. BTW to post pics large type (img)image url(/img) replacing the round brackets for square ones. To find the image location, open it from your gallery and right click on it and select copy image location (if in Mozilla).

Thank´s for those beautiful pictures.

I like the Satori a lot, and of course I will post a detailed smoke report as soon as the buds had enough time to cure.

I only enjoyed a few of the trichome covered leaves that where clipped while manicuring and originally saved for hash production.

They dried out pretty nice in my office after 2-3 days, and so I decided to puff a bit on them.

Quite promising....

Good luck with your Satoris.

They can take a little longer, but as far as I can tell you they seem to be worth the wait.

There is some variation among the plants considering height and bud structure, but on the other hand there are many similarities when it comes to the smell, taste and turn(from what I can say so far..)

What should I EXAXCTLY do to post the pictures as large as the ones you posted up there?

Your last comment was a bit confusing...

Good luck with your Satori grow.

Keep us all updated.

Best wishes,

Ola Cowboy, yeah aroma is consistant despite the two flower structures I have seen, and what an aroma. MMMmmm, exotic.

To post pictures as large as the ones I did they need to be posted to your gallery at that size (or bigger, I think the server resizes to a maximum dimension), I had a look in your gallery and the image size of the Satori images are the size you posted them, various sizes, one 300 x 500 for example, I resize my images to 800 x 1200 and the server seems to make them 800 x 600. Good luck!

Grow strong.

Yeah, she looks beautiful, thank´s.

Would have done even better without the millios of gnats in the growroom.

But Satori seems to be pretty resistant anyway.

I´ve just harvested the lower part of the pheno shown in the very first picture.

The top was harvested about over a week ago.

I regognized that she produces also quite some purple on the small budleaves and on some calyxes, and I left some of them on here and there.

Strong light orange-brown pistils add to the manicured final bud appeal after manicuring.

Wonder how those buds will look like after a few weeks in the jars...

Yes those buds are pretty fat, but not the biggest ones I grew so far.

They were grown indoors, where they received maily(99% I would say) artificial light(high pressure sodium, good old industria reflector../mylar).

They grew in natural compost garden soil, and were only fed with an organic seaweed fertilizer(only half of the recommended dose, and only from time to time..)

No fertilizer was used during the last weeks of flowering, and they were heavily flushed at least a few days before the cut to get rid of any unnecessary built up salts in the soil.

I use some CO2 from time to time, but in this grow I didn´t.

Maybe I was too busy fighting against those billions of gnats.

I actually let the soil get bonedry before every fresh watering and used quite a lot of yellow stickers, but I din´t use any chems.

The buds are pretty easy to manicure, but in order to get rid of as many gnats stuck to the resin as possible, it took me quite a while.

The first plant allready finished the drying phase and is now curing in a mason char, that is opened daily to prevent mold.

This plant was very small, and so was the yield, -nonetheless those buds have a surprising quality.

Great anti depressant effect.

I plan to keep this for the summer holliday, which is not an easy thing to do, but no bud should be smoked before it´s time.

Jesus Christ, can you believe this:

I used to cut fresh buds from plants, put them into the oven, and 20 minutes later a joint was ready.- How silly can people be?

Those buds are something special.

They are no trichome monsters, but there is quite a coverage going on.

Interresting thing is that those trichomes are not very sticky to the touch,- more oily, but this stuff is potent nonetheless.

This is no Marihuana for people who like racy highs or wanna get totally shot away.

It´s more a creeper type of high that stays pretty clear, and is all in the head, creative, thought provoking, aesthetic, musical, but a little bit hypnotic at the same time.

Can make you stare at something for a few minutes, and then you realize again: "Im botanically inspired..."

No paranoia on the first pheno, quite some paranoia on the others, especially when comsumed before going to the supermarket and stuff like that.. :chin:

But let´s see how the effects will be after a proper cure.

Peace,

spice

Good luck with your Satori grow.

I guess you won´t be disappointed.

The only downside were those little bastards eating on the roots, and getting stuck to the buds.

But watch out:

SF Nematodes are on the way!

This thread is pretty chaotic, and the pictures are shitty.

I´m gonna start a special report on the final results in a few weeks.

Hopefully with better pictures...
