Im already planning towards my next grow and ive decided to do 1single strain for seed production which will fill my needs for auto seeds for the next summer season, theres so many good strains out there it makes it only harder to decide.

I want a heavy yielder with a VERY STRONG smell and decent potency, its alot to ask from one strain i know and hermie problems should be out of the question.

Im leaning towards auto ak47 or russian rocket fuel, if you have any pics or experience of these ones please enlighten me, other strains are also welcome as id like to know more personal opinions about s60, onyx and mi5 for instance... cheers:):)

if youd like, post a pic

-yield
-pot size
-smell
-lights if grown indoors

Well @ least you named all the big yeilders....Put it like this..ALL the strains you have listed above YOU WILL eventually wanna grow, so it's just the question of when.....<that's how I feel about these wicked autos!!

What?! I dont like hairy girls... Hahaha

Im sure they will bounce back in great shape, if not, atleast I made a great 'how not to defoliate autos guide' :good:

oh please:ying::ying::ying:

I have pretty recent experience with defoliation and I did about as much as you did. I defoliated WAY too much one day and it kind of stunted them for a lil more than a week.

Don't worry, they will bounce back and continue flowering.

I've been reading more about the defoliation and it seems people have the best luck removing a few leaves a day.

Ima stick around to see how this one turns out :)

It is not unusual to see my outdoor girls on the off season have all their outer fans Blown off..
And still finish...(December)

Where mother nature treads..growers can follow...

IF you have good smell ccontrol...
give them a bit of sugarwater...1 teaspoon to 1 pint of water...
and they will perk up quicker.

i upload them to the image gallery, then view the image. on the page there is a link you can copy to put between image tags [ img ]http://...[/ img] and the image will show full size.

If yer uploading multiple images to it, you just need the 1st url, the rest will be sequential.

ok time for an update, sorry for the
delay but I've been busy... the girls did bounce back after a couple of days, they did get stunted during these days not much was going on really, so , defoliate by all means BUT not as much as I did and If so you should obviously start slowly, making sure the girls get used to it (which I didnt do) .

:laughing::laughing:

At this stage the oldest ones are starting to get visible trichs and some of the pistils are turning red/orange...I haven't really kept track of time cause they all sprouted at different times so their all pretty much at different stages, I figure around 45days~ and the 2nd batch are about 30days+

I guess it's just to wait & see how well they will ripen up:tiphat:

shout out to you mossy, if you are watching this!:joint:

Yeah, I know..mostly cause i stunted them with that major defoliation, weak lights...to anyone considering buying Cfl's dont! atleast not the bigger ones like this 150w, they are pretty much useless interms of lumen output IMO.

Also the Small pots and no nutes play a big part...
And yeah I've been looking at the Dwc buckets,

how much noise does your air pump put out?

Some of the commercial pumps ive been looking at say they are SUPER SILENT, but im not putting my trust into what they say without anyone vouching for it... lol

that would be my only concern about going hydro.. i need to keep it quiet OUTSIDE of this room.

they are about 45days in so i guess i shouldnt start to think about chopping untill the 55-70 range (?), I dont have a 30x scope unfortunately, but one thing is for sure, no yellow leafs or signs of it, all are -really- dark green coloured

thanks man :) ...Indeed, I'm planning to buy a 400w hps/mh ballast along with a cooltube, a tent and some other stuff, those are first on my list, but im very much leaning towards dwc.. cn't wait :dance013:

cant say i had a problem with cfl lights myself

250420101017.jpg

as far as trimming all ya leaves off though lol y would ya??? there what give energy to ya buds

my air pump just makes a low humming noise and to be honest my fans on the led light are louder

dont get me wrong though i love dwc and i wouldnt change it but there are alterantive ways of growing with good similar results to hydro, have you thought about growing in coco or even trying hempy buckets, ive seen some guys getting mental results with coco and its not to dis similar to they way your growing now

just something to think about :)

beautiful pic... you are right they do give energy but light exposure to lower bud sites = bigger buds aswell, theres different opinions around this im not gonna argue yet cause i don't have the proof myself but, some dont use it and some do with success, in my opinion its good in moderation and if the plants are trained to it, not sure about about how well autos respond to it tho, some are really sensitive.

About the air pump noise, doesn't seem that it's likely to be a problem cause ill be running a 175m3/h fan for the carbon filter either way:thinking:so.. I guess it's Dwc next for me, how much is your air pump pumping out, L/h? Stronger the better but id like to know what size i should be aiming for, like how much strenght i need per 5gal bucket?

nah mate it works with regular strains not so much autos thier life expetency is shorter so they dont have enough time to recover :)

i trim some of the shitty budsites from the bottom of the plant so they can focus on producing better buds uptop and if it gets to bushy tuck the leaves away

if you want some good info regarding dwc read my last thread, some good info in there and shows you my current set up
