Sand ontop of my soil?

I think someone is clueless ... how do you think an ebb and flow table works? They don't mind the wet feet ... unless it's stagnant ... they want to breathe as well ... I don't think anyone is saying they leave their plants in a tub soaking for days at a time ...

I think the first E&F tables were set up to do this very thing. I don't even think hydro was part of it.

I'd actually set up an E&F for my mums but I have so few it's not worth it.
Takes me about 10 minutes to soak each one and trim/check them over for problems. I take my time and am thorough.
