Many of you know my employment situation changed awhile ago. Life is rolling along fine & thanks to some good planning we're getting bills paid etc.
Recently I applied for a position that will require me to drug test. It's only a temp position but will put me in contact with alot of people that could help me long term. It's a good enough thing that I'm going to do "the work" and do a 30+ day cannabis break and save my synthetic urine kit just in case they spring a random test on me sometime.
I'm going to also do an ICMag break during the same time. I don't want to stare at bud porn & not be able to induldge. I probably could benefit from focusing on some other stuff in my llife for a bit.
I'm still guarding the gene pool to the best of my ability & if anyone needs/ wants to find me hit me at

well, a break once in awhile is a good thing!...thinkin bout it myself w all these growers against us in november i have become very disillusioned with the cannabis scene out here...for me, part of that is the online community...whoever thought that could happen...anyways bro...we will stay in touch...gonna have to run those hp's even if i decide to quit doing the seed thing...just cause i hate unfinished projects! haha...good luck in the new endeavor....thing work out for good peeps!

Because its seeds that he found and he knows the make up is and half of it is OG Kush.
Voo can say more if he wants. Voo that Durban Lights is great! You won't be disappointed! The Voodoo OG is looking awesome as well. Can't wait to try that one again! Keep it danK bro!

well if its not Og Kush, why call it ogkush? There are already wayyy to many og kush cuts out there, why add to the confusion with voodoo og kush?

Well if Voodoo is doing this for himself then what does it matter if he calls it voodoo OG Kush? I personally would worry more about coop's/dispensaries calling anything and everything green "OG KUSH" than what a private grower is doing (again, thats just me)
Smoketrees if he wants to chime in on it then maybe he has an answer for you mate. Me personally the person who grows it can call it whatever they want. White Russian is AK47 x White Widow yet most people call it White Russian because that's the name that the breeder/grower gave to it. If Voo found seeds in a bag that he bought and paid for and grew them out, why can't he call it what he wants?
I totally agree with you that there are too many OG cuts out there, but at what point are we allowed to start telling people what to name their own seedlings? Great discussion btw...

I'm not too worried about ST. He's an awesome guy who really believes in the purity of the OG family.
The Voodoo OG Kush story as told on weed tracker:
Once upon a time, way back, I was an illegal smoker. I know, I shouldn't have done it. I got meds from a guy who had a card and was also a dealer. His favorite collective was in Dana Point and they had some OG Kush that just rocked shop every time we smoked it. Had to be a house strain, the high/taste/potency was always the same - just amazing stuff.
So my guy tells me "well the collective gave me this bag for a bargain cause Im there all the time and its got seeds in it." To which I said, "whats the story on the seeds???"
Basically the grower had a Sour Diesel (IBL we think) that hermied during flower, which was sitting right next to the OG Kush I just described. Hemie pollen from SD + normal female OG Kush = Voodoo OG S1
Fast forward about a year.
Apparently the collective in Dana Point has since been raided/shut down.
I honestly thought these things were going to be hermie seeds, so we selected the best phenos from the 20 seeds I had, grew em out and weeded it down to the best growing pheno.
The smoke is potent, a body odor stank OG, not the lemon/piney Tahoe scent. There is a slight hint of diesely taste. I can't comment too far on it because the grower who flowered the cuts for me was having issues with his hydro setup and the plants suffered a little. I will say that despite the issues, the potency has been enough for me to feel confident putting it up against other OG kushes.
As for crosses and naming them appropriately, I think the name of the strains (especially when they're totally new) doesn't matter in the slightest. I agree, it should break down whats in the plant or at least the high you're expecting. But in the case of multiple crosses where people throw in the kitchen sink, say Jack the Ripper - its very hard to find a name that encompasses 5,6, or even 8 strains, so a name that sounds cool like Chernobyl(another good kitchen sink cross) is created.
So, while I understand where you're coming from, I don't care.

I only cared cause you said Voodoo og kush, available at PNC... So people are gonna see ANOTHER og kush available, when it isnt og kush, its an og kush cross.... We already got fucking a thousand different og cuts being named and floating around, do we really need another one circulated under your name?

so we went thru a few lbs of skywalker og kush and found a single bean
my buddy and i are growing it out...s till way early....
we're thinking of calling it blueberry bubba - to fill a niche in the name market....
but i think purple haze is better
should probably call it chris crinkle though the way it looks now...

Voodoo for what it's worth I believe Smoke Trees has a valid point. As it is not a pure OG kush. I think you would be better off naming something different entirely, rather than someone buying it from PNC thinking it is entirely Kush, unless you know for sure it is entirely Kush. However I am a firm believer of People making their own choices in what makes them Happy so... just my 1 cent as if i was a customer at PNC. The lemon Kush sounds yummy, what happened to the Exile x warlock.

Some Alegria from spain, some snow white, some papaya, and some chocholate rain, chemd x true blueberry, and a few others. I believe I might have a worthy Alegria male but more on him in the weeks to come. These will be well documented.
