On the topic, Chernobyl was one of my better runs from seed. Subcool's gear has never pushed the kind of weight you can expect from dutch style breeding but better yet emphasizes on quality and taste. I have been running his gear for almost 6 years and let me assure you, as far as personal/house reserve goes, the quality is top top bomb bomb. Have I gotten freebies from TGA? yes, and I'm doing exactly what they would have hoped I do, show em' off.

I was wondering if you had run that strain of his yet, glad to see it looks even better here than it did in the pics of it I saw before.

Thanks Voo, It's been fun watching you grow her out. Squarenobyl is looking healthy, good to see you keeping her in rotation.


Shit, while we're here, let's recap this lovely cross. Note, I have really only documented two pheno's of Chernobyl thus far. The first macro is what I call "Chernobyl" because I believe it summarizes the qualities of the parents well, as Subcool intended. For the most part, Thaitanium and Sleep train are the black leaved pheno's I have been photographing here. I will feature Cherry train and Chernobyl in the coming months.
Take yer time, this took me 6 months to document.

I tossed another thaitanium into flower last week, the squarish one. Hopefully I will have pics of a black plant this time.

PS - Subcool's tales of how he breeds are laughable. Take Space Queen for example - his space queen was purchased when Heaven's Stairway was going out of business and it wasn't an original SQ it was SQ x c99 - subby has no idea which c99 was used as the father. Therefore all space queen hybrids produced by TGAY will also have a touch of c99.. which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but his story is a fib in the Dank book - ALA Suny the man who bred most of TGA's early strains. Straight from the horses mouth.

I have been sneaking samples of my recent harvest thats still drying. I want to thank those that pointed out I should use RO water to flush. With the changes I've made in my media / growing style I managed to miss that part of the learning curve. I'm happy to report that my samples, that have come off branches that are still moist enough to bend, have maintained a cherry & burned to a white ash.

morning GT! yeah if ya don't flush with ro then the salts somehow stay and the plant uptakes the nasties like clorine.

Made some improvements in flowering today. I have noticed that my bud density is fine, though size definitely has diminished since I stretched what I had out from a 3X2 space to a 3X3 space. To counter this, Im dramatically increasing light intensity, I think its time to see if I can make these things compete with 600s and 1000 watt HPS setups.

Today I added 14 more CFLs to my already outrageous number of 16, totaling 30 CFLs. I now have 690 watts of flowering power (45,000 lumens 2 inches from plants / 76.6 watts per square foot) and looking at the plants now requires sunglasses.

So now Im less energy efficient than I was, but total power use for clone/veg/flower (including fans) comes to 1042 watts.

Just a lil headsup, if you get a 1000 and\or 600s for flowering you'll need to increase your ferts, I learned this the hard way... I went from a very low light and NPK to a 1000 hps and an NPK I was sure would burn them, it turned out they like it

Yeah, thats def. solid advice. I have ramped up the dosing accordingly, since yesterday it almost looks like they've added 15% bud matter. Im sure its placebo, but I've been smiling since.

Hey 420, were you at the PNC clone off a while back? I got my NL#5 x Durban Poison from a guy referring to himself as "420" on the forums..
