San Diego Finest Cuts #3

Hopefully ECT and others aren’t losing too much money on the deal, pretty bold of HT not to offer refunds when the pot gets cancelled. Like Hammer says, hopefully the same doesn’t happen next week in Sacramento.

Seems like the petting zoo would have to be evaluated before calling the thing a total loss though

It's a cross of Mindmeld and Cookies. This copy is a slightly funkier, musty version of GSC.

Mindmeld - GROM x Xena Goo.
Xena Goo - [C99 x (Green Crack x WMD)] x (Afgoo x ChemD IBL)

Another stellar cross EC...

Went out back of the home here and checked on the japanese cucumber..

id thrown out some soil last year and sure enough there a cannabis plant growing and i have no idea what cross of mine it is..

with all the breeders and clones ive gotten the last 4 years..hmm...

think ill call it Anonymous Kush

looks like the name is open...

That's a great cross Terp. Nice color too. Straight up or is there any filter on the pic?

Is this in your outdoor space or in the smaller ID area you went to?

Given the Frankenweed growth I had with my one and only attempt at a Sativa tent grow (with Ace's Malawi), I'd think there would be constant nipping and tucking going on all through flower phase to keep it in control in the smaller space you described.

Kudos again and again

That's a good one. Copyright it just in case you end up with the next OG or Chemdog or GG4.

I often spend my "I don't want to get up and go to work" procrastination time thinking of good strain names. Unfortunately, I forget to write them down, fall asleep and then can't remember that supposedly genius idea I had 10 minutes prior

Thanks Ona. All of my pictures are cleaned up in photoshop - but more from a color correction standpoint rather than applying various pretty filters to images like the social media crowd.

The plant pictured was tossed into flower from seed at about 8-10 inches tall. The stretch usually pushes the plants out to about 24-36 inches and the rest of the canopy management comes from setting pots on risers. I try not to top / beat em up too much in flower, but every now and then it’s a must.

Nice job, ECt. I'll have an update here eventually for you. :respect:

Winner - SCK dry sift - This was a great treat. Made me feel spoiled. :joint:

Here's my thoughts on the other flowers. Nothing meant as criticism, just my take on things. I'm always a harsh critic and certainly a pot snob, so take it with a grain of salt. All expertly grown, which makes any genetic fault that much easier to identify.

Again, thank you for letting me try some of the current fads to update my nose and palate on what the new new is. I'm really surprised what did and did not suit me. I always am when I try a bunch of things at once over a couple weeks time.

1. Garlic - Don't know what it is. Don't necessarily care. It's loaded with resin and smoke fantastic. I'm not sure why it's called garlic as that was not the dominant smell by any means. CannaVenture Chem D Bx2 outcrosses have the most garlic smelling buds I've ever come across. This is NOTHING like that. This just smells like sharp, pungent, dank, cannabis. Clear as day from across the room. Weed. Good weed. High is very hybrid but powerful across the board. Effects hit you in the head and in the body pretty much equally and it makes it excellent to just check out mentally without realizing time has passed.

2. Wookies - Don't know what this one is, but it reminded me of a modernized trainwreck type high with an old piney NL flavor. Good smoke. Didn't care for it at first but found myself going back to it. The effects messed with my balance a bit for the first few minutes and then settled into a rather functional but fully medicated state. The head effects were very clear without any fogginess but the body effects would leave you sort of winded reminding you how stoned you were and in need of 15 minutes. When sitting down you instantly become aware, without a distraction of focus, how high you are as well. Thoughts a million miles and hour without any clarity or focus, but easy and exceptionally motivated to a task once doing something. I was surprised I liked this one. I had it stuck at second to last by visual appeal.

3. SCK (A) - Really pretty flowers with a great floral/fruity/sweet cannabis fragrance. Not tied to any one specific scent but more like standing in a field of flowers, with hints of the classic purple cannabis aroma in the background. Effects certainly lean more indica here. Potency a 6.5-7 out of 10 so not entirely narcotic but you aren't getting too much accomplished at this point. Flavor is almost exactly like the smell. Very complex and hard to pinpoint but still unique and impressive. Very relaxing high after the first 15 minutes which are a bit edgy and intense; the effects set on hard and then settle much deeper into the muscles. 2nd frostiest of the samples by a far margin. Hash plant amounts of resin. Piles of loose heads just touching a bud. Really pretty mixed purple/green flowers compliment the complex floral notes. This is connoisseur weed for the Napa wine crowd.

4. Rocky D - This was a sweet floral, gassy sour at first that cured out to a more orange/floral gas. The high was more active but I had to smoke more of it to get where I wanted. Seemed to have a low ceiling. Could probably smoke this all day just for flavor though.

5. Mendo Purp - Crazy frost. Great color. More mild classic purple smells. 6/10 on effects though. Good stone without being really narcotic. Over all though, for the amount of resin content, the flowers lacked some sort of depth to the high that left it all feeling sort of generic.

6. Dos si Dos - Sort of a let down. 5/10 on effects but it is really pretty. Micro cookie nug syndrome is all that comes to mind, but people seem to rave about the line. I think the Forum cut on it's own is a better smoke than this particular sample, and has so much more of that sting your nose dank punch in the face with smell, although, I'm not sure what particular cut this sample is from. True daytime herb.

7. CBB - I'm not sure what this was. Great frost. Great bud structure. Looked to be something OG leaning or dominant. Was surprised it packed almost no punch at all. The smell was more mild than I expected. Green Banana and maybe hints of mango. I had to really dig deep to get anything from it. I ended up using this as filler for bowls of SCK dry sift. Before sampling anything, I had it pegged as #2 just by visuals alone. If this is Cornbread Bubba, then I'm baffled.

Sugar Cane Kush pure blond dry sift that eventually just stuck together and made a very light lump of killer hash.

Here is my 1st run of CBB. I did have a slight ca/mg issue beginning of flower. Epsom fixed it quick. I put in 2 more that shouldn't have issues. Everything is run under 4100w CMH.. Its getting hot here. Hoping it wont cause me any issues. My room is running 85f. I'm getting a earthy bubba aroma from her. Not a very strong aroma.

I popped some seeds I got from a SDF meetup and am wondering the lineage.

They were listed as SSK. (I think from DRM) Any more info would greatly be appreciated.

Hope to see everyone soon.

Re: High Times. After spending a day and half up there this weekend and hearing several accounts it appears the problems last weekend were largely the result of the San Bernardino City Council being unhappy with circumstances surrounding 2 previous (non High Times) cups and hoping to stop the 420 Cup by implementing the 60 day application period on April 7th making a recreational license impossible.

Both the Sacramento and Santa Rosa events have their permits/licenses in place.
