LOL. Sorry about that, I've been wanting to talk to you about a few things too. Saturday I guessing? I'm actually going to ask her out even though she lives in Central CA. She has beauty and brains and was one of the many people I talked to last weekend whose knowledge was humbling.

...Much to my surprise, the DRM's super silver haze has really influenced the growth habit on the Mauritius x Ethiopian (or at least this far). The seedlings are very squat...

My first female of the SSH × (MATH*) cross is displaying some very loud SSH aromas at day 29 in flower. I had hoped for the haze to shine through and it certainly has on SSH × (MATH) #5...thus far.

I really look forward to seeing what you find so we can see a bit more of the potential in this batch of seeds.

*I'm using MATH as the abbreviation for Mauritius × Ethiopian.

Soooo, apparently I need to hang out with EC more Congrats on having such great results at the Emerald Cup! BTW - I am still in the dark as to the lineage of Catalina Wine Mixer. Any information you can provide is much appreciated

Looks like a combination of a bunch of Sam Skunkman's work from way back (Northern Lights x Skunk x Haze) and totally explains why SSH x MATH veg like indicas. I will be interested in seeing if they have the typical MATH stretch (3-4x) and how much the flowering time has been shortened from the SSH influence.

You know, now that I think about it - it'll also be interesting to see if the Ethiopian side makes the already bright, positive, euphoric SSH even more so. It certainly has that effect on everything else its crossed to. How did your male smell? Bright and lemony (ethio) or more forest floor / rotting damp wood (mauritius)?

I really should have measured this one when I put her in, #5 is in that (3-4×) range as best I can tell, my primary aim was just to verify sex. I can only assume there will be some phenotypes that are less stretchy, I doubt there will be any that increase on that characteristic.

I have a feeling that flowering time is going to be longer than SSH's 10 weeks on the #5.

My plan for addressing those long flowering and stretchy characteristics is to cross an already selected Afghani to the best selection out of this cross. 73 or 91 true finish flowering days is reasonable in my opinion, however if a 60 day lady is found I would be absolutely thrilled, I'm not interested in 121+ day strains at the moment.

Other aims of the Afghani cross are to get closer to a particular flavor profile and bud structure that I'm interested in.

Being focused on flavor depth is something I really enjoy working towards, I have no doubt that psychoactivity will fall into place along the way.

Oregon clone aLbErT walker x 91 skva was go in for gs some yrs back, my homie got it back then but its probably much more available now , it's nice, but imo not as special as was made out to be... Actually let me down 2x gifted n I grew one n still thought ok, nice but really nothing that was gonna shake the game up...

A few days before ECup none of my lazy old ass buddys wanted to go. I didn't want to drive that far by myself. Gonna have to get some younger heads into the fold. Sittin on ur ass doesn't cut it all the time. This might have been the last even for us in cali. I herd no more vending at these events after 1/2018.

What I've gathered is that "cup" style events will still be allowed in 2018 by law but only at venues that are official state fairgrounds and only in counties that allow it. No more free dabs and/or gifts either. That will mean the end of the "sesh" style event and maybe even High Times but Emerald has Sonoma County's full support and will not only live on but they're seriously exploring adding a second spring event.

Cups down in LA are to far 8hr drive 1 way. Emerald and Hempcon are close enough to attend. Hempcon is at San Jose convention center. If I cant medicate while there that's gonna keep me from going.

I'm def there 1/20. I work that night so it's moderation for me but I'd love to get back together with folks. I've only met up a couple of times so I need to get my social skills going again.
