@ 12x7' sounds like you want a 24x 30' tarp to be safe

7feet high on either end means 14' + 12' long = 26' so make that 30'

with a 7' diameter would make a circumference of over 21'.. not sure what shape your gh is, straight walls with a peak or more like a hoop house......
you could run a string from one wall to the other (not the ends) and then just measure the string..or you can measure from the top down to the bottom of one wall and double that measurement and add a couple feet to account for bricks etc.

Not sure if that helped or not, im kinda confused myself, but that might be the dabs..

Awesome thread. Great start, I'm subscribed and psyched. A few Light dep. pointers here.

Build a 'skirt' at least 2 to 3 feet tall around 3 sides of whatever you plan on light dep'ing. Make it out of a wood/metal frame structure, and I would use an OSB sheet, or a corrugated sheet metal to block it in. This will do few things for you.

1. give you some play with your tarp around the bottom, help securing light leaks and help with securing your tarp around the bottom.

2. you may have to run a purloin on the interior of your structure b/c of a wind factor. A bottom skirt will give you added strength to your structure, and may give you something to secure to.

3. Since I use big beds and not individual pots, it helps me with soil errosion and keeping everything with where I need it to be.

4. I use Hortinova, and I run it parallel to the ground at 3 feet, and again at 5 feet. I use the top of the 'skirt' from end to end to support the hortinova.

Good Luck this year. I've been house framing like a maniac, Took clones 2 weeks ago, trying to get plants into hothouse on May 15th, in the ground may 27th, start light dep'ing june 27th, harvest Aug. 27th.

Whats up friends and watchers of the grow. Its absolutely crapping down rain outside and has been for around a week or so. I dont do rain very well, I was born and raised in a rainy muggy part of Oregon and relocated to get away from this crap, but its pushing all those wonder manures and castings down through my pots. The beds I am building will be filled with new soil from Williams so it does not really matter when it goes in, all the prep work that needs to be done is done. So right now, Im just chilling, taking clones, tending to those who I know will go outside and even trimming a little indoor. Weather will turn for the better next week. I have a bobcat rented to flatten my greenhouse pad and load dirt into beds, so I a going to need to get busy and go to home depot.

GOOOOOOODDD MORNING ICMAG!

Well, its been a good while since my last update, life and work and equally busy and the weather has been cooperating the last few days so ive been doing work outside. Bed one is built 5 feet wide x 12 feet long. Its a little bigger than I thought it would be once filled with soil, so the next two beds will be constructed a little slimmer, which should account for bowing of the wire when the soil goes in

Starting to mock up where things are going, lots of blue magoo and boost in the pots is that its looking like and mostly willys in the beds.

Lights series Azaleas I grow out front, Its basically a cross between an azalea and a rhododendron. Cool plant that does not need much light to make awesome blooms.

I like the perspective your pics give as to how big those pots are! the roots are gonna be strong on those later to be big trees for sure... Plants look nice, green and perky and loving the sunshine. Looks like the weather has been nice in southern oregon too.

Yup got her back, love this lady as her and I go way back. Im cutting my genetics down to 6 moms this winter and she for sure will make the cut

Thanks for the kind words brother, my 200s are 4th year dirt and should be alive with good stuff, I expect them to outdoo themselves this year.

Thanks for stopping by. I try and give perspective to the garden and where the sun lies in the sky, helps people visualize why my pots are in such a tight formation.

I am jealous, I screwed up and donated my early starts and left with smaller plants to start the season with! I cant wait until this fall to see how this turns out, yum

You will be surprised, my Willys and Boost are still pretty little but I have a month to blast them with HPS, they will be more than big enough. Also one year I put out a 10" blueberry clone and it still did 2 pounds in the end.
