Welcome all to the 2013 season!! Well after a short winter the groundhog saw his shadow and its going to be an early spring. Trees are starting to bloom, the geese are back in the pond, and it smells strongly of chicken/steer shit at the Samson House!!!

We got some snow this winter...

But the spring sun has thawed the smart pots

During the show storms we managed to get some amendments on these bitches and the snow melting and the spring rain has worked everything through the soil pretty well thus far. Per pot we added
- 60 pounds of Organic Local Humus and Steer Manure
- 2 Bags of Stuzmen Farms Chicken Compost
- 5 gallon bucket of local worm castings
- 2 mason jars each of Vital Earth Bat Guano and All purpose Guano

The next stage of the game involves expansion!!! We are going bigger and upwards! I have 10x 300 gallon smart pots that I will add to my current run of 14x200 gallon smart pots. To make this possible I have to clear some timber. In the picture below I am basically going to to clear the patch of trees directly uphill of the current pots and use that space for the 300s. I have ordered the same local custom soil blend as listed in last years grow

So this is just the beginning. I am working on a light dep project right now that once complete i will take pictures of and document. Its that time again, thanks to all who taught me along the way and thanks to all who will be tagging along and learning from my wins and losses this season!! I am also lobbying to test some of connoisseur genetics stuff this year so if I get selected that will comprise my last 8 pots and my entire greenhouse, but I have backups just in case!!

Boost, Williams Wonder, Blue Magoo and Grape god for sure. I'm working on some others. At full bloom they drink 20 gallons per day in the heat of the summer. But their usual watering is 10-15.gallons every other day.

Yes sir the willys is a producer and performer outside, you'll see that first hand. The new uniforms are sick, they promised us one throwback, which we got in the black one and a futuristic one which we got in the all orange. I think the shark beaver logo is hideous though....ill never wear or purchase gear with that thing on it. Love everything else about the "re-branding" though. Athletes love it and it will realistically help with recruiting. I have a close friend in the athletic department and he said the current players love it and current recruits love it so that's really all that matters. If we can play as good as we look then we are in business. Your thoughts?

I obviously dont know the terrain there and have no idea how much mountain is above you beyond those trees, but does clearing that strip above your current plot give you any concern about erosion in a hard rain? just a thought I had looking at that last pic in the OP

Thanks for stopping by Warthog, no TGA this year, it was a fun experiment but in the end the smoke was pretty bland across the board. I wish I still had my good agent orange pheno I had from a few years ago, had a punch an tasted like navel oranges and was a good yeilder as well.

Boost is a very special Blueberry x Sweet tooth pheno my boy made and grew out, its the staple of my outdoor garden, its fast, fat and frosty. I think if you search the forum I have a good thread started on her.
