Hi mate long time no speak. Love your grows and presentation! Just curious about one thing, your ventialtion set-up. I can't see an inlet, do you have two outlets as in one for the cooltube and another through the carbon filter? I can see a hole at the bottom of the tent, do you just have the extractor drawing air through that? i know the erb likes a 'negative' environment.

Hey Bifta - you're exactly right, just the inlet at the bottom behind the cheese (8" hole), with the outlet going up out through the ground floor and then first floor and into the roof. It means I don't get any smell outside of the tent which is .


Today I got a new 200W Envirolight off ebay for £17 (approx $35) - what a bargain. I went for red spectrum too rather than a blue for an extra flowering boost.

sorry i don't give out much k these days i'll hit ya back once i've done the rounds.
that sounds great just having one fan drawing the air through and expelling it never knew you could do it like that! Is the cool tube attached to that or does it run on its own fan?
Is it the negative environment what causes there to be no smell like?

sorry for the ameteurish ?'s i'm not very clued up on the ventilation bit.

No problems mate - ask away. Cool fresh air comes in through the hole in the bottom, warms up and rises to the top of the tent. It then gets sucked in through the carbon filter, through the cooltube and out the top of the tent and up through my house (grows in the basement) into the attic.

Here's a photo from before I upgraded the fan/ducting/carbon filter which shows it a bit more easily, but thats a budget filter, 4" fan and ducting.



Now I've got a Phat filter (so heavy it needs a stand), 6" fan and 6" acoustic ducting.



The fan is constantly drawing in new air from that hole at the bottom (and the holes where the zips meet) so no smells escapes at all. Then I've got a little oscillating fan in there which keeps moving the air around the plants too.

Sounds like a well thought out ventilation process Sammet. I don't know an awful lot about inlet/outlet but that simple explanation has certainly helped me get a better idea. Thanks man.

Plants look very nice. I have been usng the same fulvic acid, this grow & my last. plants seem to like it. do use it reg?

It's my first time using it, seems pretty good to me. But then I've altered my setup so much since my last run it's hard to compare. In fact my first grow (400W budget hps and 2 dp blueberry) had good results too using just a guano tea so who knows.

Must be cool living near a forest. Nature's cool. You should try your hand at a guerilla grow, with a big fuck-off fence so those buggers in you garden don't munch em down!
