Yea,I believe there was a misconception that there were poor germ rates for awhile. Now most people know to give 'em a good 3-4 weeks before giving up on 'em.If you have height limitations, you may want to use a cut as the seed plants get so huge.I use less than 3 litres of soil and mistakenly thought root binding would control it's size,Lol.Bad mistake.Thunk gave me the same bitch-slap as she gave everyone else who under-estimated her. :D
Peace

My method of germination is: soak seeds in a cup of water for 12 hours. Then take either a napkin or thick paper towel wet, then ring out ALL the excess water then place seeds inside the paper towel (I usually double over) and put on a plate. Then I take celophane and cover the plate to seal in the moisture. Then cover with a dark towel and place the plate in room tempature enviroment. I check the seeds every 12 hours or so, and transplant when the tail is 1/2 inch or so. Transplant into promix with no ferts about an 1/8 inch deep. When the leaves sprout, sometimes the seed shell will stick to the leaves....so I lightly pour some water over the shell and use tweezers to lightly remove. NEVER transplant into anything that has any ferts in it. I usually transplant the new sprout into a 12 ounce styrofoam cup and don't fert untill I transplant into a bigger container.....then only lightly. I've had nearly 95% success with reputable breeder seeds. A pair of tweezers is a must for handling new borns. I hope this helps anyone having problems with germination. I don't recomend germinating in rockwool. I've had really mixed results germinating in rockwool.....plus I've read others have had problems too. The secret to keeping the the moisture perfect is ringing out the moisture then covering with cellophane IMHO.

I'm nursing 2 seedlings, out of 10 attempted. They are tough to start in a cold drafty house in the winter, even with a heat mat. It would be good to collect all the seed starting methods people are using for these.

dude i put mine in the furnace room, it makes for a good consistantly warm room in the winter. Plus adds some co2 from furnace burning.
Got 7 of ten up now and just got a second set of 10 as freebies again. This is to cool, grow this bunch now and put the rest away for later.

shushslo - What did you notice between the plants?

Has anyone else selected from 3+ moms? I am curious what can be seen?

I had two 12w phenos and one 14w pheno.i noticed that 12w pheno is better tasting and more productive...all 3 phenos had very hazy taste but like I said 12w has something skunky in it..
They were all stretchy but 14w was crazy...

love?

I got some of these as freebies. Thanks Sam and Gypsy!

Handpicked the best looking five seeds from the pack and put them in moist soil after keeping them in a cup of water overnight. 4/5 germinated within a couple of days.

Got two female plants. First had them under 24 hours of CFL light for one week, then put them under the HPS with 12 hours of light. I took them down about 15 weeks after pistils had appeared but they didn't appear until maybe after a month or so of being under 12 hours of light a day. Both stretched like mad during the first two months or so but one considerably more than the other.

The stretchier pheno had rounder and bigger buds to my surprise (on the left in the photo).

The buds are quite resinous although the resin heads are on the small side. Here's a closeup from near the tip the bud that's on the on the right in the picture above:

Yield was about 50g per plant.

Now I know that these freebies were supposed to be shared with others instead of grown out yourself. Sorry Gypsy! But hey, I used one of the males to pollinate a branch from each of the girls. And trust me now I'll actually be better prepared to hook up any haze wanting newbie so maybe that'll make it ok? :)

Thats not even all of the seeds yet, I still have about a quarter ounce of seeded bud left. And on top of those I'll probably find a few "extra" seeds in buds that were near the seeded ones. :D

The smoke is excellent and very very strong. But it's not really some really crazy trippy sativa to be honest, certainly has inherited something from the Skunk-side. One night while toking I came to the conclusion that it's like Skunk but with less "cotton" and instead more of a "vertical" high. Maybe someone will understand what that means, probably not. :D Hopefully I'll be able to come up with a better description in the future.

Smell is slightly spicy with some cat piss mixed in maybe. During flowering I remember it to be more of a fruity smell. Not really the strongest smell or taste wise though, could be because I over-flushed it a bit (3 weeks or so). Let's see how a longer cure improves this though.

Great stuff love?. I have a select few of these that are gonna get bred soon too. I have a few projects ahead of them at the moment, but they will get done as soon as their turn in the breeding space comes up.

I thought Id share a few pics of my lovely ladies. I got 7 plants out of 10 seeds, but only 3 were females. Two began to form buds around 3 weeks into flowering, and my last one took another 7 days. No real smell to them at this point, but hopefully soon they'll give me something to tingle my nostrils.

They've all been heavily supercropped. The first picture is one of the main colas thats been turned towards the camera. She's got so many cute little buds forming.
