Salmon Creek? Anyone?

Just received some nice beans in the mail saturday! I got friend out in Humbolt Co. California, and he sent me some nice seeds. I got Salmon creek x NL #5...and Salmon Creek X Purpurple Urkle. I'd like to know more bout these strains. Who here grows or has grown these? Any tips or pointers would be great! I am really interested in knowing bout Salmon creek, all that i can get bout the salmon or the crosses would be awsome! Thanks people.

anything from Humbolt is bound to be special. Have fun and good luck. The Salmon Creek x Urkle is gonna be super special. Might I even say similar to grandaddy purple. Definately worth trying the NL5x as well. Keep us updated cause those will be very interesting. Peace

Salmon Creek Big Bud is a clone of an old, particularly nice pheno of Big Bud. It yields really well and has a sweet herbal taste, but the ceiling on the high is pretty low.

The Urkle cross will be nice. Should purple up some of the phenos an make some more potent. SCBB is a large yielder. Good luck, those sound like some good crosses.

I read in Cannabis Culture that Dr. Paul Hornby of Advanced Nutrients tested the Salmon Creek Big Bud at 21% CBD and 8% THC.

Must be some heavy smoke.

Spacemanspliff- i think there is indeed seed stock of samon creek big bud...Tom Hill carries seeds of this strain...I'm not sure if he was the orginal creator of it though?

TomHill has an hybrid..not sure but most probably PTKxSCBB
The Good Old Doctor tryed to fish out a thai pheno off a Trainwreck x SCBB cross,if I don´t remember bad

The SCBBxUrkle sounds excellent. Should definitely come out very similar to GDP, as that is said to be the cross. If the beans aint femenized, I suggest backrossing each generation and see what happens. Should be fun.

I ran the SCBB clone a year ago.... My info was that:

SCBB is not related to "Big Bud," although it seems to share a couple attributes..

Beautiful buds, and does great outdoors, but it is a commercial strain, not elite. Also under the name California Orange Bud, sometimes...

GDP is Big Bud X Erkle, not SCBB X Erkle.

Just my 2c.... Always open to education.

I was able to get some Salmon Creek crosses a couple months ago. I germinated a bunch for both indoor and outdoor grow this summer. I plan to try and cross them with some God Bud I am growing from feminized seeds.

I have some Salmon Creek seeds headed my way and I want to try and cross it with the God Bud too. Its going to be an interesting fall harvest.
