This seems pretty serious for you. There is a fair bit of IT work done through the PIPE so to speak have you got in touch with any of you old contacts to see if they could farm you some work on a per contract basis.

The dole is a bich the only thing you can count on them for is to mess you about i the attempt to hit targets.

Getting a work permit for Canada isn't as big an issue as one may think. You might want to have a look at this expat forum.

Hi folks

Well, I have a sad anouncement to make. Due to family problems and financial difficulties, I am regretfully having to wind up my indoor grow. I have all my spaces full of plants either flowering or vegging and I have a week to get rid of everything. This means that I will be able to harvest my Hashplant and two G13 x OG Kush but everything else will have to go.

I will spend this weekend moving as many plants as I can to my guerilla plot, I should be able to get most of the non-flowering plants out there, but a load of flowering plants - Thai, Jahwi's Joy, Cheese, Actual Sativa, Blueberry x Zamalhaze etc. Will just have to go in the bin along with all the sativas that just won't flower outdoors in the UK at 54N.

I shall keep all my seeds safe and hopefully it will not be too long before I can grow again, but there needs to be some big changes in my life before that can happen. I am unemployed and jobs are very hard to come by where I live, I have no relatives in other parts of the world, no savings, no money at all so my options are very limited. I need to find a job fast and that has to be my priority, sadly growing can't be, although I wish it could be!

I will still be around and will post from time to time, but with no grow, I won't have much to talk about!

Damn , I wished I'd seen this earlier . I would have tried to talk you out of ditching those Sat's . Even though they wouldn't have finished , you still could have gotten mature seeds off of them . Enjoyed reading your posts and please stop in from time to time , you have much useful knowledge and experience that should be passed on to new growers .

I sadly ditched the Blueberry x Zamalhaze but I've kept one of the three Thais, the Jahwi's Joy and the Actual Sativa.

Hiya Kenny, was great to meet ya this year, wish I'd met you earlier so we had more time to chat, but it was all good! I'll make sure I have some Purple Afghan buds to bring next year, and I've just rooted a load of male and female clones to do a seed run so I'll have loads of PA seeds to share with folks, somehow I reckon there are a few folks itching to try her for themselves.

My PA mother, she has intensely purple stems, petioles and leaf veins:

The PA male father, he also has the deep purple colouring on stems and petioles, I have high hopes that crossing these two plants will produce mostly purple offspring:

Here is a suggestion:

Get a second job. This will provide you with additional income. And, it should hopefully give you the funds necessary to increase the size of your grow so you can sell your surplus, which can be a yet another source of income. AND, you could always use your second job to find clients for your product. And, since it's a second job, who gives a shit if you get fired? You can always find another one. And believe me, not caring if you have the job or not eliminates almost all job-related stress.

You can use the extra money to buy a cheap 400W HPS ($100) and a HID Hut, C22 or build your own C13/C22/whatever ($75-200 depending on whether you buy a premade unit, or make your own) to further increase your harvest size, while keeping plant numbers to a minimum. Next, get a good blower. For a cabinet the size of a C13 or C22, I recommend getting a 265 CFM fan ($75). I also highly recommend going DWC either on a homemade system you can build for 20 bucks per unit, tops, or get a couple of WaterFarms at $50 each. Basic nutrients will run you $50, tops, which will last you at least a year. Other, miscellaneous items will come to about another $60 (pH tester- $7, air circulating fan- $20, Hydroton $25, peat pellets and starter tray- $5).

So, for as little as a $400 initial investment, you can have your own setup which can produce 5-8 ounces of finished product every 90 days (less if you use clones).

I don't know you, so this may not be a feasible option, but if at all possible, I recommend you try it.
