S1-5 smoke report

The last strain I picked up on my stop at harborside in oakland california. It was $55 1/8th oz, they offer some of the better discounts in california for oz prices, usually around $300.

This sativa was recommended to me by the staff person at the counter when I visited the dispensary. If the staff appear to be coherent and interested in cannabis I will often ask them what their reccomendation is that day. This is a good sativa, its a nice clear high, not too overpowering and would be suitable for working while medicated.

Flavor was very hazy and hashy, had a spice from the haze that would stick to the air and whatever the smoke came in contact with, not an strong smell, it is faint but it stick to ya. I liked the smell of this stuff, it was similiar to the taste but didnt have much of the fruity smell that the nugs gave off when broken down.

Most impressive part was trich coverage, it had pretty large heads, would prolly make excellent hash if ya had a good amount of it, and by the size of the nugs the dispensary had it looks to be a producer. Might be a keeper for a commercial grower who wants some entry level top shelf. I wouldnt keep this as there are many similar daytime smokes out there.

1. Visual Appeal: 7
Rate the visual appeal of the buds from 1-10 unappealing-excellent.
comment: Large nugglets, most all of the weights they had available for purchase were one large nug. Mine was well trimmed considering the density, hard to get in there to get the whole fan leaf sometimes. nice chunky nugs, not spear shaped at all, very rounded on the tops.


2. Visible Trichomes: 7.5 out 8.5 inside
Rate the visible trichome content from 1-10 none-totally covered.
comment: Frosty inside and out, even the stems are covered in thick blankets of trichomes. The kind that leaves a little pile of trichome heads when you break it up after being overly dried out. The insides fo the bud have some of the largest trichome heads ive seen on a nug I didnt grow myself, i doubt it was skuffed as the heads are so large and have brittle stalks so they fall off the nug very very easily even though it isnt overly dry. I had to come back and revise this and take more pics upon breaking it up cause it was very frosty. almost the size of a grain of salt each head is that big. a serious mess to break up, gets trichome all over the place, and your fingers are sticky sticky.

comment: Dense nugs but they arent overly sticky, fairly easy to break down for a joint or vape session. for how thick the nug is when you squeeze it, you would expect to put more work in to break these up. once again, this stuff is messy, trichomes come flyin off in a fit when ya break it down. if it doesnt get all over the place - it doesnt belong in your face.

comment: mmmmmmmm mmmmm spicey, you need some prilosec or somethin with this one if you sensitive, kiddin.. Without a doubt has a strong haze component to it, you cant hide that haze spice in this one. An underlying skunk smell is there too, reminds of some oldschool smoke, but it has newschool large indica-ish trichomes on it. Also has a small hint of fruity hashy smell that is familiar in a lot of strains.
