Rust spots

Hey guys, I put a few plants in a friends growroom to get a head start until my room in my safehouse was ready. I just went and got them and noticed there are some rust colored spots on the leaves. It doesn't seem to have hurt the plants but I am concerned. All of his plants do this intially. I think he puts them under his 400MH as soon as they germ. Could this be the problem? Thanks. Peace. :canabis: TJ

High guys, I've got the same thing going on & this time of year my humidity is running a bit on the high side. I kinda wonder if that might have something to do with it? Just a guess.

Check PH

Check PH

Sounds like a nute lockout. Also could be from a lack of water and wilting. When they are watered sometimes there is tissue damage left behind that does not rehydrate and dies off.
But sounds like a nutrient problem. Most often due to PH imbalance or the use of incompatible ferts.
Take care...........................CC

Oh yea, are the plants dark green or are the lightning up to a pale green?

Got the same symptoms with my Paradise Sensi Star, my first thought was fungal infection. :(

Having read this thread though, I feel a bit more comfortable but still going to blat the plants with Citrofresh just in case.

i'd say the same as doc d or the cap'n calcuim/mag or ph both are or will have a nute lock out....and look close to the same......

if its cal/mag just add sum epsum salt 1/4 tsp per gal or go to the dro store n get a cal/mag o most every nute comp makes one.....

Is it just in the Sun Leaves?

Is it just in the Sun Leaves?

Aloha,

It sounds like a PH caused Nutrient lockout like Cryp said.

But I have some strains that really kill-off the sun leaves in a rusty way, rather than the slower pigment changing death and fall off of the other strains. Could be that, if its just the sun leaves.

Thanks for dropping by my brotha's. The plants are doing well, it hasn't hurt them a bit. The leaves I mentioned are at the bottom of the plant now and really don't matter. They are kicking some serious ass! If ya get time, go check em out, it's in the Soil/Indoor Growers forum titled First Indoor Grow I think. Thanks for all the help/replies. Peace and good luck. :canabis: TJ
