Running AC during the winter?

That's interesting. Then i makes excellent sense to utilized the heat from the grow room to heat the rest of the house. Otherwise all that expelled heat is just wasted energy.

welcome to passivehaus, germanies initive to create net 0 energy homes... just cooking a chicken in your kitchen can heat your house for an evening.

a sunny afternoon heats it even better.
 
Wow thanks for all the replies everyone, very much appreciate all the help and interest.

I've decided to just swap the window AC out with a simple fan which exhausts the room air outside while cold air comes in passively through the other window (the room has 2 windows). The concession here is that I have to be careful about smell, but as long as I keep my carbon filter fresh that shouldn't be a problem cause the tent is always under negative pressure. We might still have an odd warm day here or there, but I'm just vegging right now anyway, by the time I'm flowering my current girls it will be the dead of winter, and I might have TOO much cooling then, if anything.

You could add flapper-style vent covers to minimized unwanted airflow and a thermostat to control the fan.
