California Orange Bud from Nirvana is my favorite all-around strain. It's my "utility weed."

I've got a pack of Durban Poison that I'd like to grow out, but I don't want to have to flower it for 3 or 4 months, and I don't want to wind up with stretchy trees (400 w hps). Any idea how the DP would respond to training? What's the flowering time? Different breeders, I know, but the Nirvana is probably a knock-off of the DP anyway.

I lost a lot of my pix from this grow in the soon to me infamous og crash- but heres some that i found laying around my comp-- I vegged this baby for good wile, like 5-6 weeks- i had topped it at week 4 or so and started the intense traing a week before flower- using some of my favorite wire, i rang peices of the length of the cab and tied all the branches to one of these wires- you can roughly see from the pix- the pic of the plant in vegg has a good view of where i topped it-




wish i could show ya the final result of this plant, but is seems the pic is lost-

does it stretch- ya, it will- good bit
long flower time? 70 days for me
i agree, shouldnt be a whole lot of differance between the DP and nirvana varieties-


should mention- i only used 104w cfl, and this is only 1 plant- a whole lot is gonna change when you do 10 under a 400w- but i hope this helps a lilte-

LOL, more like 4 bushy plants under a 400 watter.

smoke was great- the buds wernt as think and frosty as they coul be cuz it was limited light- wish i had my 150w hps back then-

found some pics of the dried buds- had little less then an Oz from that plant.. damn i miss that bud

Hey there lumbo, good to see you brought your LST skillz to IC, good to have this info!!
I bend my branches a little to train.... I will get more into LST in the future, and will deff seek your advice!
