Nice wheels man! i used to run one but ran into probs with them.. not trying to spook u out but the motor aint powerfull enough on them and when all those rockwool's get flooded it puts mad strain on the motor that turns the wheel.. the motor aint built to last for sure so u might wanna look to upgrade that eventually.. and the only other thing i didint like about the roto is the 100 gallon rezy LOL no need for that big of rez only reason it's so big is cause they ship it in the huge thing LOL i am wishing u the best of luck bro! afghan#1 would work real well for u! here is a pic from my first run with my dual 600 only 150 plants in there and there were to different strains but i still got 3lbs! oh and i heard of people having good luck vegging them on tables then putting them in the wheel after there established a bit! good luck!
Northern Farmer if you have a chance can you please tell us how the purple kush turned out ? How have the crops after this one turned out ? Was the purchase worth it ? Thanks
they are floating around colorado, someone decided to buy like 20 of them for a big warehouse grow then it failed and they sold them all off, i see them from time to time around boulder where people (sometimes) have more money than sense.
i had one on loan for a lil bit, great concept ruined by cheap parts
motors are def. not strong enough, plastic gear sprockets dont always align properly and the wheels get off kilter. ultimately i think w a xxxl hood and 4x4 flood table packed w plants can get a similar yeild. roto gro is fun lookn, can work well, but didnt seem super user friendly,
plus the people i met who hyped the machines around here were real sleazy.... total liars, shame @ the people and the product...
i was watching stargate universe (SG-U) and they have a hydroponic lab for growing food on the space ship... and half the place looks like mini rotogros like a one light version, you never see them actually spin, but motion is implied....
some heads on the r&D for that show... maybe
still see roto gro for sale in denver from time to time, i think everyone adventurous enough already learned their lesson.
honestly i think if u grew autoflowering seeds in it, only filled it half full, it would work well. too many plants and rockwool make the rows so heavy the motors have trouble turning and the plastic gears dont hold, they slip under the weight and when that happens u are pretty much in disaster mode....
