Rosy dont you know that overweight causes lots of health issues, you should be ashame making youre girls so fat just because you like em that way, it is rude that you dont think of health issues at all + the medicines they will need for high colesterol etz in the future will make you a poor husband :D .. LOL .. just kidding.

No man seriously.. these are the biggest, best and hugest mofo's on the icmag. I like fat chicks and i like em a lot, I also like when people grow monster sized single or few plants with big ass colas ... the true character of the strain / feno comes out better that way IMO. You say you use HPS as a vertical light also to boost ? So the plants get light from up and side ?
I should definetly explore more of youre growing style, what do you think when i grow with a 600w so should i run with a 250w as side light or what kind of thumb rules are there in this method or i mean what have you tested or got the best result with?

Thanks once again fellow growers/tokers,

Maybe I was too quick to call the ISS a skunk MOneYMiKe, I keep on hearing conflicting info on the lineage. There should be some Skunk in her, but to what extent I do not know.

She's got little in common with my Skunk#1, and she grows just as Sativa as Kali Mist (that is, the phenos I've kept), but they keep calling her a skunk, and she yields like one.

Yeah Stombe they get both horizontal and vertical light. It makes sense after all, since the light should come from all different angles rather than one concentrated spot (which is why I prefer several low watt lights rather than single high watt lights), in order to mimic sunlight and get optimal light exposure on the entire canopy.

I've kept my eyes on vertical grows ever since the days of Krusty, both horizontal and vertical works well, but if you can combine both your grow will really take off.

I initially tried running 600w above/horizontal and 400w vertical/sideways, but I had to space out too much between the plants because of the heat so I changed to 250w vertical, that way I can pack them tighter. I've got limited width in my growroom but plenty of height, so up is the way to go for me. It really depends on your grow-op though, and theoretically, more light sideways than from above could be interesting for growers that need to stem stretch, etc.

Keep an eye on Core's grows if you're into the Sativa ISS, he's got the offspring of these babies. It should be one stretchy show...

Question; what are you looking at? Give it a guess...

Close, but no cigar,

That's two big bags of Blockhead, ISS, Skunk#1 and White Widow trim and popcorn buds turned into ISO oil, molded into a plastic cup. Therefore the shape.

I've got my ISO technique honed in, that's primo quality.

Thanks SweetBOG.

I'm spending a little less time on ICmag right now - against my will - since I'm up to my neck in work and it just never stops coming.

The garden is still going strong though, I rarely shut down. It's basically all Island Sweet Skunks this time around, some Skunk#1:s and Sensi Stars as well, but mostly ISS.

It's still early in the grow and the buds are just abut getting interesting to look at, I'll get more into it as they fatten up:

Day 33...

I think I just creamed myself reading this thread. Good work man, that blockhead looks beautiful. Have you ever thought about trying to cross that blockhead with a mold resistant strain? It would take some testing to find the right phenos out of the group to keep your mango and your yield but if you kept it up continuously breeding between the the crossed line, the original resistant strain, and the original blockhead I think you could come up with a real winner... but thats just the curious nature in me I guess. How tall are those blockheads getting? I always thought they were a shorter strain but you said you have a tall pheno sooo. Looks like they get minimal branching and just develop one main cola, have you ever tried to get two or three colas out of them to see if they stack up the same? Anyways, just some questions that came to mind checking your girls out, again good work!

Yeah, I've crossed the Blockhead with a whole lot of strains,

ISS, Sensi Star, Skunk#1, White Widow, Sweet tooth#3, and more.

Those Blockhead colas can grow almost as tall as you want them,

Personally, I train them 30cm high before switching to 12/12, and they'll end up 1m tall, once cola straight up with lots of budshots.

There were two basic phenos in the original SOL Blockhead packs, a short Indica leaning pheno, and a taller sativa pheno. I've grown both for a while but now I've canned the Indicas, they often hermied when pushed to extremes.
I had several Sativa phenos but finally kept only the tall one in this thread. She was really the Scarlet Johanson of them all, a perfect body with a mind-blowing high. I love that plant, and it hurts when you loose 20% of the crop to fungi.

They don't grow that well on two or three branches, stems become kind of soft in end flower when you cut out the N, they bend over. A single meristem cola holds the weight though.

Interesting, have any of your crosses increased the mold resistance or have you not gotten the chance to grow them out yet? She looks beautiful. As far as PM goes, do you use a sulfur burner? Might be a good investment to throw into your room to use periodically as a preventative. I am sure that it was probably asked earlier in the thread but what are your finishing times and how long do you veg these girls before throwing them into 12/12. Sorry for the 20 questions but your results are amazing lol.

cross one of those back with like deep chunk for added frost, I imagine that would be very nice as well.

Hey growers and tokers!

Nope, I don't use a sulphur burner, although sometimes I powder sulphur on the plants.

My growroom is well vented and I don't really have any problems with fungi or powdery mildew, it's just certain strains - such as Blockhead - if the colas grow too thick, that get mold. I even foliar feed the Island Sweet Skunks in mid flower and they never get it.

My finishing times are not set in stone, it depends on a lot of factors, although I generally let them go as long as they need, then add a week or two :D

Day 42, or 6 weeks if you prefer. I'll soon get problems with heavy branches so I'm tying together the longest branches.
