Take your squished pucks, rinse them cold in ethanol, then throw them away.

And.. a "reefer" is a joint. A "spliff" is a joint with tobacco. A squished rosin puck with rosin melted back in is just.. a misguided effort.

You seem to be the guy who needs extra 'splainin to, almost every time. I didn't say to crumble the puck... You crumble the same strain bud to make the material, not the damn puck.

I do use the pucks in my butter.

I suggested hot knives based on the OP stating what I thought to be the easiest and most readily available. The bold is what I saw as important. No need to jeopardize your health at this time for a nail or quartz

hi! i searching for new way to smoke and considering i'm lacking of instrumets , i'm interesting in making a natural rosing oil, my only doubt is how using that oil ....can i mix it with tabacco , or with a cigarette? any other ways? thanks you

How do you do this "hot knife"? Logistically, these "reefers" are pretty simple, and only leave a slightly sticky spoon behind.

My biggest problem with rosin or chilled oil is how sticky it gets when not really cold, and getting it off whatever I have scooped it with. I considered a spoon to hold it in place, and straw to draw the smoke, heating the spoon with a butane torch. But that would leave the spoon hot and my lungs full, wasting whatever was still smoking while cooking off the spoon.

Melting the rosin into freshly ground bud makes it easier to handle. In fact the amount of bud is about right when all the hot rosin is soaked up and you can stir it around the spoon after it cools. It is tough for me to solo one of these reefers, so the unburned half makes for another ready buzz later.

Don't even think of just smearing it on the outside of a cig, do the hypo with tincture first.

hey, iv asked you for nothing and have been wiping extracts ( Ive grown myself on to , papers, tobacco, herb about 18 years.


the change your world was a tongue in cheek comment because the majority of people I interact with on this site are polite and humble and understand humor....you obviously dont and id suggest some latex gloves to save you sticking your fingers together.

How do you do this "hot knife"? .

In the 70s we used kitchen knives and a paper towell tube as the straw. Never used spoons as they took too long to heat up.
my hot knife setup consists of a surgical steel chisel ground down to a spoon shape, narrowed the neck to keep the heat at the spoon
heated with a torch to red hot then let cool for a bit as I have found better flavor with cooler temps.
I use a paring knife dipped in the oil for the apllicator and 1/2 inch dia polycarbonate tubing for the straw . I suggest those new to this to start with a safety pin for the tiniest of drops till you figure out the amount of smoke it produces and the amount you can comfortably inhale without choking. Waste not want not.

the oil in the jar is my edible oil but I'll smoke it once in a while since the amnesia honey oil is the first to go.

Used to put it on buds of the strain it was made from, would coat it

three times, allowing it to dry out in between.

Would do little tiny bong hits with a clean toker II.
The taste and flavor was so delightful...

Never got any better for me.

Mostly sublingual extract now,

but every once in a while...

Heard a great story about hot knifing hash about 20 years go.

3 guys are hot knifing hash in the kitchen when a young kid comes in and asks what they're doing. They offer to let the kid have a hit and point to a chair for him to sit down in.

"I don't need a chair!" he scoffs.

The guys shrug, hand him the newspaper cone and hot knife some hash for him. The kid takes a huge hit, stands up straight and passes out. Falls back and smacks his head on the floor.

A few minutes go by and he wakes up and asks what happened, the tell him he passed out and hit his head.

"What? No way!"

They ask him if he wants another and offer him the chair. He accepts the hit and declines the chair again.

Knife hit, pass out, smack head process is repeated.

Kid wakes up and asks what happened, they tell him the same story and ask him if he wants another hit.

Kid gets up and sits in the chair before saying "yes please." lol

Yeah Gary, that would be about the same idea as the reefer. BTW, depending on how thick you make the mix, a butane torch is handy to keep it lit between hits.

I can't see the difference between a spoon and a knife, and I like stainless over plated. The spoon just has more room to mix in the fresh bud.

Love hot knives is the only way to smoke fresk buds, sometimes I clean my bud sissors (get out the old butter knives i get) and the sissor hash use this way potent stuff...
