ROOTS 707 BAGS TO GROW IN??

I'm using roots 707 soil for my outdoor grow. I have some late start plants that will need to be transplanted out of their 5gal smart pots in about a week. I have not used plastic bags to grow in previously and am asking for information if this is a good method. It's either that or 30gal smart pots(the 707 bags are 20gal), and I am also wondering if the larger smart pots would be better due to their larger size or if this late in the season the size difference is not a factor in terms of finale growth size. Grow is in So. Cal. and the plants cannot be planted in the ground. Thanks in advance for info.
