Rooted clones, no node to grow leaves

I have a few clones that I neglected for too long and the new growth tips blackened. I had about 6 of them from a plant that I wanted to save and all of them share the same fate. I left them in the humidity dome for too long and the tips all molded and shriveled.

I put them all in some good soil and have been babying them for about 1 month now. They all have strong roots and the original set of leaves are dark green and healthy looking. Problem is, there is no longer a node for new growth to sprout from.

Anyone know of any tricks to promote a new growth shoot?

It would be best if you take a picture, or try to explain the problem again. "No nodes" to me gives me an image of a single stem with roots on it.

ANY node can grow into any other part of the plant (the plant's meristem which is on the nodes, contain undifferentiated cells sort of like stem cells.) It doesn't have to be a node on top of the plant.

If the plants have at least one leaf, then you will see a branch grow between the main stem and the petiole (the little "stick" holding the leaf to the main stem).

If there's ANY black or other molds on the leaves, cut them off ASAP.

Wish I could take more clones but these are the last cuttings of a harvested plant.

I wasn't sure if there was some sort of trick to create or repair a node for the new growth to shoot out from. I tried doing some google searches but my key words are not finding any solution.

The roots are strong, the leaves are nice but there is no where that I see new growth could sprout from.

Anyone else have any ideas?

My last resort plan is an attempt at tissue culture. It's not something that I really want to do, but if that's the last resort...

what about re-vegging the harvested plant? ...or is it
already too late for that?

Thank you for the responses. It may take me a day but I will get a picture up to help illustrate my problem.

I have a set of leaves and growing out from between them was the new growth.... It was that new growth that got mold and shriveled. I am now left with the original set of leaves but the new growth is dead.

Here are some pics to help illustrate my issue.

Any suggestions on how I can save the genetics?

if they are rooted and continue to live then you will see
new growth pop out where the leaves and stem meet,
just give them time.

peace, SOG

I hope so. I'm not saying it can't happen, but I have never seen a branch grow from a topped node.

These have been rooted for about a month now. Every day I have been putting them under the 1k hps for 12 hours and then putting them back under the fluorescents before the lights go out.

1k of light is way over kill for these little things, just
use the fluoros and be patient, all you have to lose
is time.
