Your roots appear pretty much normal except that small area that is suspect. Don't abandon any plants yet! They don't appear to want to go deeper into the media like I already pointed out. They are clustered at the top of the media. This could be lack of oxygen.

Sproutco tried to stop you...even put it in bold lol

Sounds like you read a thread or two about some pythium killing plants and kinda freaked :yoinks: ....his (sproutco's) low DO diagnosis was spot on...along with the others' input...you've gotten some good stuff in these two threads....

Good luck with rest bro....

thanks guys =)
Well lets see how they are tomorrow...they are at the moment sitting 1" above water level in the bubbler...the medium were soaked in water+h202 to contain the pythium...and has been flushed many times and contains almost no nutes (should I water the medium with some nutes?)...I murdered alot of the bad roots..and many of the roots protuding out were damaged due to my actions...hope they will recover in a day or so so they can get down to the water level and take some of that 400 ppm...

^ Yes you are right...I read threads about pythium being almost impossible to eradicate..so I freaked... =(

Interestingly while in college, I grew pythium. It will only go into reproductive growth on hemp seed agar. Pretty wild, huh? :joint:

^ hehe cool man I wish I knew about growing when I was in college...you wont believe the shit we smoke in scandinavia and at what prices...

what was your major? botany?

I get 7 grams for $20 right now. This is crazy cheap. Why grow? I played with legos toys from Denmark when I was little does that count? :bat:
Scandinavia (skăn"dinā'vēu) [key], region of N Europe. It consists of the kingdoms of Sweden, Norway, and Denmark; Finland and Iceland are usually considered part of Scandinavia. Physiographically, Denmark belongs to the North European Plain rather than to the geologically distinct Scandinavian peninsula (which is part of the ancient Baltic Shield), occupied by Norway and Sweden. Sometimes the word “Norden” is applied to the five countries because it avoids the physiographic and cultural limitations of the word Scandinavia. The Scandinavian peninsula (c.300,000 sq mi/777,000 sq km) is c.1,150 mi (1,850 km) long and from 230 to 500 mi (370–805 km) wide and is bordered by the Gulf of Bothnia, the Baltic Sea, the Kattegat and Skagerrak straits, the North Sea, the Atlantic Ocean, and the Arctic Ocean. It is mountainous in the west (rising to 8,104 ft/2,470 m at Glittertinden, S Norway) and slopes gently in the east and the south. The region was heavily glaciated during the Ice Age; Jostedalsbreen (W Norway), the largest glacier of mainland Europe, is a remnant of the great ice sheet. The peninsula's western coast is deeply indented by fjords. Short, swift-flowing streams drain to the west, while long parallel rivers and numerous lakes are found in the east; Vänern and Vättern, both in S Sweden, are among Europe's largest lakes. Nearly a quarter of the peninsula lies N of the Arctic Circle, reaching its northernmost point in Cape Nordkyn, Norway. The climate varies from tundra and subarctic in the north, to humid continental in the central portion, and to marine west coast in the south and southwest. The region's best farmland is in S Sweden. The peninsula is rich in timber and minerals (notably iron and copper), and has a great hydroelectricity generating capacity. Its coastal waters are important fishing grounds. Large petroleum and natural-gas deposits have been found off Norway's coast in the North Sea and the Atlantic Ocean. Population is concentrated in the southern part of the peninsula; Stockholm and Göteborg (both in Sweden) and Oslo (Norway) are the largest cities. Except for the Lapps and Finns in the north and east, the Scandinavian peoples speak a closely related group of Germanic languages—Norwegian, Danish, Icelandic, Faeroese, and Swedish. The oldest Germanic literature (see Old Norse literature) flourished in Scandinavia, especially in Iceland.

Prices here are $70 for 5g of soapbar, which is dirty hasch which contains glue, camel dung, downer pills and other sweet things. Many times I smoke I think its actually this stuff that makes me high, rather than the cannabinoid content itself.

Bummer, I think I get mexican weed that is compressed to get across the United States border. Brown. Full of seeds. Gets you real stoned though. Keep up the good work and you wont be dependent on other sources of weed.

wow, that soapbar must be pretty bad then. im sorry you have to smoke that. hopefully your girls will snap out of it. shwag here isnt necessarily horrible - i have, albeit rarely, had shwag that was better than beasters. so there is some good shwag out there, but more miss than hit.

are your girls looking any better?

Imagine the cash-crop possibilities here...I think for every 1g of the really potent strains you could probably make 5g of equilvalent to soapbar quality hash, maybe even more..thats >$70/g ...but thats another discussion another day...

I'll have a look at the girls tomorrow..time here is 4 a.m...got to get some sleep...seeya tomorrow..g'nite

water temps 65...plants are showing ever more signs of defiencies...the medium is still wet and contains almost no nutrients...2 out of 4 has some roots protuding out of the containers...I fear they they will lose much until they have developed enough roots down in the dwc...
someone write something pls?

>increase oxygen to the water maybe with another airstone because of roots not wanting to go deeper

>add hydrogen peroxide daily to the water to control pathogens

>increase nutes to 400 ppm's or so

>keep ph at 6

See what happens. Doesn't that sound like a good plan?
Did you do all these things???

i was about to write before i seen sproutco's post,

sproutco has said what i was exactly going to say, not one person on any boards can help you anymore than what everyone here did, he said everything you need to do, one important thing you definatly need to do is get those ppm's up

how can plants get nitrogen from water? unless you add your urine to it........ but it cant

you can get rockwool in coco and not in the rock wool but your plants roots are mainly healty and its the tap roots that most important right now because the size of your plants

your main problem is lack of food in the water and lack of o2

Edit: sprout my boyfriend seen your avatar and laughed his ass off :) he said kick ass avatar, i like that avatar as well, i remember you used to have that a while back :woohoo:

argh!
Yes I filled the bubbler with 400 ppm nutes. But the pots with the plants I just soaked in plain water+enzymes+h202.

Should I soak them again this time with nutes? Argh f***n hell I hate this shit every time I have done something wrong. I am mad and I havent smoked one damn joint in over a months. Off to score some to calm down.

Soak everything with nutes. Even 500 ppm instead of previously suggested 400 ppm. Mynamestitch says:
do not go any higher than 500 right now, you want to get them back up and growing then slowly up it when they start to grow

one thing i wud hav did if i overwatered them, and lik i do keep track of how much water i use at all times...,i wud have cut back on the amont of water, wen they started to drink a amont, fast.then i wud start uping he amonunt of water by a ounce at a time, each time seeing how long it takes to dry,and watching how the plant is growing,to gauge the adjustments.i have lso done this wen i had to leave town, put plants4ft from 1 40 watt tube florescent cool white, wen i come bak to water after a week :yoinks: i give them less water, then up the amont by a ounce at a time, wen they start taking it up in 1 day, until im on schedule...hope this helps some...peace mooons/

MOM - have you tried placing a fan blowing across the medium to help dry them out sooner? That should help the plants get over the lack of O2 in the media better until they can start taking in some of the nutes...

whow got lucky :joint:

Sandman no I havent should I?? :woohoo: thats it.

Well I can tell you guys the tank has started to smell again, although I washed everything...and the h202 ...but the plants look much better...roots coming too...I am confused is this a positive sign? :yoinks: Well I did cut the pots open somewhat so now I guess they can breath and I see pearls of the water on the coco at bottom of pots. Still the fact that it stills gets to the point of smell after 12h it make it very suspectable to the threads and warnings I've read. But on the otherhand the one I killed earlier seemed ok they were not so heavily infected. :confused:So I dont know where this is going, but I think Sandmans suggestion seems good.

but the buddy tho wont hear it and insists on continiung to keep them in the bubbler....argh!:dueling: :joint:

Why arent there sticky's on all these noob question in a detailed way? Can someone point me to cannabis growing wisdom thread
