If I have big enough fan and filter can I flower in open basement? Or do i have to flower in tent or built sealed rooms for smell of flower.

I guess my real question is does the poly plastic or fabric from a tent make that much of difference when it comes to filtering a room for smell?

Well it will need to be under negative pressure? No problem hanging a filter and blowing out a hole in the wall, if all the gaps in the room are clean air ingress points. No smelly air just left to drift out a wide open door.

If you mean put a fan and filter on the floor, just blowing back into the same space, no hope. There will always be smelly air in the room and nothing to tell it which way to travel. So it won't have reason to stay

Well it like this NO. I have my tent set up in my old den (basement). Although I shut the door down to the basement (I do all my maintenance on the freezer (comfortable height)) within minutes of taking the plant out of the tent, it smells in the mid level hall (4 level side split). I can isolate the back Hall/front foyer with a French door but I still have to operate a deodorizer in the front foyer, in case someone comes to the house even if we are legal here. I will add we have forced hot air heating here and of course there is a cold air return in the basement, this occurs whether the furnace is running or not (read during the summer). My tent vents outdoors and the exhaust fan still pulls the smells from the tent/den out. It doesn't matter, that stuff goes everywhere.

You again!:D I used to worry about smells before getting my MMJ card. Now, dont worry about ambient grow smells. I'm legal! I dont hide the fact that I drink alcohol and have started to realize.. fukem if they dont like it, I'm legal. I've come to realize that if 'visitors' (the people you worry about smelling your grow, unless they are LEOs) dont grow it, they will not know the difference of fresh growing herb and some buds sitting on the coffee table. OF course I'm in my 70s and dont giva shit what they tink anymore anyway. AND! I love the smell.

It's not so much if I give a fuck or not... it's all about remaining stealth. :tiphat:

Not criticizing Switcher just was conversing with you in another thread yesterday.. or maybe today.. and found it coincidental.
