waiting for the rest and a little growth on then before going into my unit for veg.

love the rubberbands.. never even thought about that.. ever since I saw this ive had better results cloning honestly.. it seems like it helps the stem stay in contact with the rockwool or jiffy pellet and allows for a better success rate.. thanks a lot for posting that pictures.

Normlizer - ph dropping that fast is usually one of the first signs you have root rot. Inspect your roots very carefully. If rot is the cause look into earth worm castings tea (AKA heisenberg tea) and/or pool shock (chlorine)

I don't do water based hydro any more, but if I were I'd be using it from day 1 until harvest. The catch with pool shock or bleach (both chlorine sources) is it needs to be maintained @ 0.5-1ppm MAX at all times. You will need a chlorine meter (looks similar to a ph pen) to monitor levels in your res. Generally speaking you will need to add back chlorine every 3-4 days, depending on it's rate of evaporation. Younger plants don't tolerate chlorine well so stick closer to 0.5ppm for anything under 12".

Well i flushed my system ph seems to have stablized some and nute intake took off. Now I have another problem. i run both a 400w hps ushio and a 224w led. The hps side seems to be almost yellow in color compared to the led side. its just not the color of the lamp difference. i took fan leaves from each side and color is significantly more yellow on the hps side.

Not sure but i use gh flora nutes the expert recirc at about 1/2 strenght. Would it be better to make a bigger rez also. I know the aeroflo20 only has a 8gal rez could that be why i get the crazy ph swings?

Mister D u think having a small res and low ppm would cause ph fluctuate? It was getting close to the 2 week flush res change time. I normally just top off with ph tap water.

Yes, but it's not likely to cause ph to drop over a full point over night. That kind of extreme is usually only caused by root rot. Hard to say for certain with those pictures, but your roots don't look healthy. Are you using anything other than the flora nutes (the three part, not floranova)? If not I can almost guarantee you have rot. With just GH flora your roots should be bright white.

I use the full lineup the flora expert recirc i think the color is from floralicious plus. It is real dark almost like molasses.
