FOX said Romney didn't do anything wrong if he only paid 15%, it would be a crime if he didn't. They are missing the point. Why does somebody getting only $35,350-$45,000 28%-35% and somebody making millions only pay 15%. The working man should not have to pay 35% and the rich man 15%! Small businesses carry a much higher tax rate burden than corporations. Give the small companies the right offs that you give corporations or let them expense and capitalize in the same manner and pay the same effective tax rate. Tax the earners of income 0% and that ends the double taxation of corporations.

Main Stream Media love to say that the top 1-5% pay like 40%-60% of all taxes paid. The top 5% paid 58.72% in 2010 to be more accurate! If they are paying 15% and paying 58.72% taxes paid....HOW MUCH INCOME DID THEY (1-5%) MAKE COMPARED TO THE OTHER 95-99%? That is the real question!

Romney says he'll release his 2011 tax information around tax time. Only problem, Romney hasn't filed his 2011 tax returns and still has time to pencil the numbers. It's his previous tax returns that might indicate whether Romney hid his money in offshore tax havens.

It's the reason that some politicians release more than their current tax information. Obama released 6 years of tax info in 2007.

Who was the first politician to release multi-year tax info - 12 years to be exact? Mitts daddy, George Romney.

I disagree with Ron Paul's Resistance to raising the Capital Gains Tax also...

Actually Ron Paul suggests lowering the 35% Corp tax rate to 15%, 15% cap gains lowered to 0%, and the Graduated from 35% range to 0% Income tax. The 0% tax rate would create a massive job influx. The 0% cap gains could also be great for small businesses and small investors to get resources to/for each other much easier and profitable.

There should be zero federal income tax for anyone. However that is not practical at the moment so we should move to a flat tax and eliminate 99% of the IRS. Just getting rid of the complexity of the tax code could be beneficial in countless ways.

Social programs should be on a volunteer basis. They should have a list of social programs on the tax form where you can just write down an amount you would like to donate to that program. there is no minimum or maximum. That is a direct message with your tax dollar.

RON PAUL! he will run as an independent, and between the discontent in both parties and the much larger number of conservative independents I think Paul can win. More likely to win the popular vote and not the electoral college. I am not giving up though and neither should anyone else.

FWIW there is a debate tomorrow night, Monday night, and next Thursday night too! Next Monday and next Thursday are Florida debates, SC primary is held this Saturday.

Im not sure how to read all of this. I wouldnt say the next monday and next thruday debates are in stone.

I heard earlier on TV that Dr Paul is not even in SC now, and he is not going to spend money in FL.

It would be reasonable to think that at least one of Santourm, Gingrich or Perry will drop out before Monday, they all would have good reasons, and reasons not too (although Perry might be running out of excuses, hes not even winning in TX).

Newt said he needs to win in SC or else they will nationally elect a moderate who will lose to Obama.

So who knows if the debates will continue. I think there is a ~25 day hiatus on scheduled debates, i think the next would be late Feb.


I think they are trying to make a stink about Mitt taxes because he gives so much to the Mormon Church. If Mitt knows he is paying ~15% for this year, his taxes are done, just not released.
