You are absolutely right, bentom. He has generally polled strongest 1 on 1 with Obummer, of course you never hear about it on the news but all you have to do is look at the poll data yourself.

I would love to see some polls run with Obummer, Money err Romney, and Dr. Paul.

Just Dr. Paul's running and bringing up the issues have changed the discourse of Americans, even those that don't know the origination of the topics. Dr. Paul is right.... "You can't stop an idea who's time has come."

If Dr. Paul does not get the GOP nomination, I so hope he runs 3rd part..... But if he gets the Presidency, he will definitely not be doing his changes alone for long!

Right on bro. I am setting up an AQUAPONICS GREENHOUSE now to raise FISH/PLANTS together. I am also about to get me a few chickens and a small coop. Does Dave say anything about his party refusing to implement Wall Street reforms that basically firewall main-street money from investment products?

Dave was Bush's nekkid lap dancer. Bush wasn't certain his $300 billion tax-cut would wreck the machine. He needed a second term to privatize Social Security. Massive mid west Ag subsidies weren't enough to get him a second term but a 800 billion dollar Medicare attachment and another round of massive tax cuts would do the trick.

Ever wonder why a guy who wanted to privatize everything turns around and saddles Medicare with hundreds of billions in additional debt? Same thing a Bain capitalist would do. Saddle it with debt, declare it doesn't work and (insert banana in tail pipe.)

Bush's second term was in jeopardy when Lincoln Chafee and Susan Collins refused to sign tax cut 2.0, (i.e. a trillion dollars.) To get their vote, Bush had to reduce his tax cut to $350 billion. Stockman complained we couldn't afford $350 billion, prompting Trent Lott to remind Stockton, "We're starving the beast."

I wouldn't expect anybody to take up for Goldman. But when this crowd points the finger, I'm less interested in where they're pointing vs what they're hiding.

People who can't get their way, resort to demolition and say, "Look, I told you it wouldn't work", should be banned from public office and private lobbying.

If I want to estimate how Paul's doing in the presidential primary to-date, I consider the delegates he's won to-date. If you only have a teaspoon of mayo, there's no combination of spread techniques that render a cup of coverage.

My education is in applied science so have had very little in economics so have spent the last three years learning on the internet from very many facets. This is one of the best reads of a extremely complex and abstract topic made into very simple and understandable language. Thanks Spastic for posting!

If you would go to the sight you took your quote from you would be able to see that the sight contains a vast number of different sources from all political view points. But as usual, instead of educating yourself or passing information to others, you have chosen to deflect and wander off in a tangental thought process.

The only purpose you have had in this thread is to provoke and insult.... but even that has cause some great information by OTHERS to be posted so for that I will thank you for your contribution.

All the context I'd expect - from a blow up doll.

You must have blown a hole during the part that references Bush's negotiations with key Republican holdouts, slashing demands and ultimately strong-arming the budget director with ideological thuggery.

Not only that, Chafee and Collins were only the 49th and 50th Senate votes so Bush had to run the cuts through reconciliation, the temporary congressional budget process (where the Senate allows a simple majority.) Dick Cheney cast the 51st vote for both tax cuts.



Please gawd raise the bar of intellect or drop the pom poms.

Santorum's gang read 95% of that same information and concluded that Santorum not only hadn't a snowball's chance in Hell, he risked party unity and the chances of ousting the incumbent.

Add up the 13 states into one delegate haystack and hand it to Paul. If that doesn't garner the necessary 1100+ delegates, would you be willing to concede?

Pundits are saying that brinkmanship has stalled tea party influence. All the bills that became law basically bypassed the tea party caucus. Ron Paul is taking this contest to the brink of his own party's future successes.

I might not be a Ron Paul supporter but I'm even less of a GOP fan. That said, Ron's starting to make this look like the '88 Libertarian Party ruckus. What was once described as a happy family became a soap opera of indirection, mistrust and contempt. Rothbard was run off over Austrian economics, Rockwell over intolerance, questionable past and associates.

Ron pretty much did the same thing he's doing now, walking into someone's home and declaring they're punking (their own rules.)

Ron Paul might walk in your house and command your respect by showing you how and why your process is dysfunctional. If you get the rowdy noise prior to any impression that Ron Paul commands respect, game over.

The campaign has, at least the appearance of repelling those who aren't (yet?) ardent supporters, as if there's tens of millions of non-base fans. There's tens of millions of voters but anybody outside the base has to be influenced, not told they're a bunch of cheaters.
