that whole business about wiping israel off the face of the map was a total mistranslation of what he actually said. if you do the research to look for a verified translation, you will find he was not talking about iran wiping anyone off the face of the map. he was saying that zionism will eventually disappear from the pages of history, or something to that effect. it was spread around as a threat to nuke, when it was nothing of the sort. this is just being spread around to make you think the iranians are all blood crazed war hungry idiots who want to be wiped off the map them selves apparently. like i said IF there leadership is so war hungry, why have they not started any wars in the last centuries? don't just blindly believe the rhetoric. look at actions, who is waging wars all over the place? it's not iran is it? what ever you think about the leadership in iran, they are not suicidal. which is exactly what they would be if they even think of attacking israel. RP is the only one talking common sense, ie, lets not go to war unless we are actually attacked! is that so bizarre? wth, it's a war crime to invade another country preemptively. didnt the Nuremberg trials punished many for being involved in just that?

you missed: "do you not think of the children!?"

but in all seriousness, like I already said, if the Iranian theocrats gave a half shit about Iranian people, they'd put their efforts in way more constructive things than trying to get nukes.

if they cared, no one would have mentioned the word "embargo" ever in relation to Iran.

like my friends in Cuba, that always joked when the state t.v told them that eating was bad for you, so you should just drink a glass of water when hungry... great leadership right there

over and out

you are right...
if they would just do as they are fucking told everything would be ok...

don't they understand we know whats best for them?
fucking children can be so willful sometimes!

speaking of research, who do you think funds hezbollah and hammas? how do they get missiles to launch at free-will into Israel so frequently?

clue: it starts with an I and ends with an N.

sneaky 'lil pricks I tell you.

but ok, lets just all believe the pity-show going on, and forget the facts.

dag, Iranian leadership should do what's best for their people, no need for anyone to tell them what to do; however, when their focus is on funding hezbollah and hammas and developing nukes, well, anyone with a 'lil bit of brain can see that's not for the best interest of the Iranian people. or is it?

if they were making hydro-electric plants, developing agricultural technology, sanitary food, then, I'm sure no one would tell them what to do...

but those things are unimportant I guess, when there's the chance to get nukes and fund terrorists (which really exist, believe it or not), who would want to fund technologies for creating better quality of life? :chin:

"Latin America Debates Drug Legalization; Obama Demands More War on Drugs"

http://thenewamerican.com/world-mai...-legalization-obama-demands-more-war-on-drugs

"“I think it warrants a discussion. It is totally legitimate,” Biden was quoted as saying. “And the reason it warrants a discussion is, on examination you realize there are more problems with legalization than with non-legalization.” He did not mention the experiences of other nations that have legalized drugs such as Portugal, which saw a dramatic decline in drug use, addiction, and crime — in fact, ten years after legalization, drug abuse dropped by half.

Before Obama upped the ante and sent Biden, U.S. “Homeland Security” boss Janet Napolitano went to Guatemala to deliver essentially the same message. "The United States does not view decriminalization as a viable way to deal with the narcotics problem," Napolitano, known among critics as “Big Sis,” reportedly told the Guatemalan President. She also promised more “assistance” and “more and more cooperation” for governments that fight drugs with sufficient vigor. "

you are right the leadership is not doing whats best for the people...
so we need to starve and kill the people until the leadership gets the idea....
a lil bit o brain is exactly what people need to believe starving and killing is whats best for the iranian people.

if there was a contest to determine which government actually gives less of a shit about what their citizens think, i would not count on iran being in the top 5 or america being out of the running for number 1.

all of our problems with them can be traced back to the shah and our support of him. if we would have stayed the hell out of that losing game we would not be in the situation we are in now. we also forget saddam was our boy for a long time, and he was pretty hard on iran.

how can we expect them to sit down and talk to us when we have that kind of history with them? it sucks when nobody trusts you anymore, but you reap what you sow

according to who ..fox news?

what's up with fox news and everyone hating them? one day I'll have to watch that channel lol...

I'm sorry to dissapoint you, but I do not think one can educate oneself by watching the news. I'm one of those nerds who still like to go to the library over stumbling on random webpages with questionable information.

books are your friends.

hey, where did you get the idea that I support embargos or starving people off?

if you want to stick an 'ism' on me regarding Iran, it would be not letting them get nukes.

embargos won't work, and an all out war will just be chaos for everyone and it would suck.

that's all I know.

good thing I'm not in charge of dealing with the issue or we would be fucked.

Venezuela is doing pretty good, in 2011, over 19000 deaths by fireams, most firearms of course provided by the good old government and bought from Russia.

that averages about 52 people killed a day by firearms.

and it is not a war-zone, at least not officially...

Since when did America's children become a rental service? and free at that!

Since when did America's children become a rental service? and free at that!

^^^^^rhetorical question.

check out a nice documentary called Global Metal, it is just about metal music fans around the world. see what happened when the producer tried to see metal fans in Iran, and what their views were...

Iranian leadership is not open to the west and actually prohibits anything they consider western, from metal music to having dogs as pets.

Where does that make it my children's responsibility to die and pay for a war to make it better?

what Ron Paul says sounds beautiful on t.v, but in practice, it is just naive.

Depends on who is listening. If you want to hear a fairytale about what he is going to try and do.... then you are listening to the wrong person. He does not tell the public what they want to hear, he tells you what he believes should be done. People are not use to it and some can't handle it.

real Iranian people are not represented at all by the wack-ass regime they live under.

I guess that is one of the reason I would prefer to not start killing them.
Neither are Americans any more but that is not an open invitation to any bully walking by to invade.

yes, the U.S is not perfect, and its current government is no role-model for a better future, but this does not mean Iranian government is any better, in fact it is much worst.

Nope it is not a role model any more and that is what my last post was about but one of the main reason is because we either overtly or subversively pre-emptively attack other countries. A characteristic we use to despise in Russia 20-30 years ago.

with great power, comes great responsibility, and sure, the U.S has made many mistaken along the way after establishing itself as a world power; but concluding that because of this other nations should be able to gain nukes to destroy other nations (like Iran has officially stated plenty of times) is just crazy thinking.

The last time we invaded and decimated a country preemptively for WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION.... we found a couple rubber gloves and I believe a buried SCUD missile. Israel says it can take care of it's self. We are not renting our children out any more is what Ron says and we are not making debts they can't pay for either.

this sort of dreamy thinking on the part of Ron Paul is what makes me think he won't be any kind of champion for the legalization cause.

It is exactly this kind of thinking and 30 years of voting on record that assures me he will at least attempt what he says, unlike any president we have had in my life time.

regulate marijuana like wine is already a wonderful idea and it is the people who need to make it come true, not some messiah.

He doesn't say he will regulate it like wine. He says he will legalize it at the Federal level and leave it to the states to decide what to do with it. People have a choice of where to live....

peace

Peace is not just a word.... it is a concept and the majority of Americans want it. Bombs, Money, Police, Laws, etc are not always the answer and usually lead to just bigger and more of the same.

Ron Paul on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno
Presidential candidate Ron Paul will be on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Tuesday, March 20th at 11:30 p.m. Eastern

heres some inspiration from the RP forums.

"The Los Angeles phone-bank is now calling Hawaii.

A very sweet 94 year old lady promised me she was going to vote for Ron Paul no matter what, come Tuesday 3/13 @ the Hawaii caucus....of course I told her I loved her for it.

Her determination to get her 94 year old self out of the house to caucus for Ron Paul was truly inspiring.

I hope you guys are inspired too.

We ARE the grassroots
We ARE the campaign
We WILL come out of this victorious.

Maintain laser focus, do not get distracted by the media/establishment tactics. We are exposing the fraudulent system for what it truly is.

THIS IS A REVOLUTION, FIGHT ON."

over 19000 deaths by firearms seems like small potatos to you?

how many would it take to at least be considered big potatos?

fyi, I'm not an american citizen, not even live close to the U.S.

I doesn't come into it ..it's small potatoes relatively ..for someone who isn't American you seem to regurgitate a lot of u.s administration' propaganda ..not that you have to be american to do that ..there a lot of informed and enlightened americans on these forums ...just seems a bit weird you only mention the enemies of the u.s. ..bill o'reilly like

people kill people, what they use to do it doesnt really matter its the morals and actions of that person that is seriously flawed.
i dont think pointing a finger at different objects gets to the heart of the problem.

so in essence we are gonna have to convince people violence doesnt solve problems, the route of banning this or that leads to discrimination, and as we see in america, if the law abiding citizens cant have one, then the criminals do via black market alternatives.
its the same as drugs.
