That romp19 just looks exotic, can't wait to see it start flowerin. Some great shots there. I've never seen that young of a mantis before. Told ya they were about to shoot up.
nice lookin plants. next time round, you can make raised beds using the clay soil and cut it with some peat moss. if they're raised, they drain better and therefore don't stay as wet. the peat moss helps loosen em up. horse shit is great for nitrogen..you can mix it into the soil and let it sit for a few months...you can even use a little as a top dressing for your plants now! i.e., a handful for each. use dry, composted shit if you can get it....if you have any that's been sitting in the barn for a while and has dried out, that's idela. you don't happen to have any chickens do you?
if you have any bones...they're great for phosphorous. you can crush em up and stick em in your pots. it'll help boost your yields. best part is, they're free.
I lost one of my main growth shoots, due to a Corn borer
Earlier on i snipped the main tip, naturally the next 2 shoots took over
the last month the right shoot has been falling behind
(highest point is shoot left, 2nd highest point is laged shoot 2)
the other day i checked and right were the 2 shoots meet to make a V it was ripping at the seam and falling off, so i clipped it.. can found a big hole... I knew i had a bug, but i didnt know what kind.
(the piece of trash looking substance (or sawdust as Spreading_Seed put it)
is actually waste material, the inside of the stalk chewed up and shit out...
Its an early warning sign, so look for this.)
This here is the one
We now have reverted back to one cola......
I coaxed it out with a guitar string. Tip kindly provided by Spreading_Seed (Thanks man)
