Nice,the thing about rocket stoves is there ability to make heat fast with little fuel,and gassifiers dont make heat but give off wood gas that you can use to make electricity,what you need is a masonry heater,Thermal mass is where its at,wrap a ton of stone around that rocket,burn at 1200 degrees for an hour and sit back and enjoy the heat all nite,cool tech

that sounds pretty good
my experience with standard type wood stoves is that 4 hours is about the best you can do
but 8-10 hours would be excellent with no active control

well I did pack it full but ya I would pack it at night before bed than in the morning after my coffee and joint...yeehaw..it did have a huge firebox tho...

that does make sense with the large firebox
i'd think you could near heat a football stadium with such a large rocket
and like the thermal mass option
a hot masonry wall, kind of a large fireplace really
but getting it insurance/firecode approved, pricey i think

With a rocket stove you want to run the chimney sideways as long as possible. Otherwise you are just making a basic wood stove.

the diy water heater tank rocket got my interest going
rocket stove is built inside a recycled steel water tank
vent was at bottom, and was vented with aluminum dryer ducting
the exhaust was that cool, efficiencies way up there
